The Camaro stops like a champ. Worst part is pad kick back when you're really hustling it. Just gotta stay on top of that.
Weight savings and better braking. I used SJMs ABS delete kit and Wilwood's proportioning valve. The linelock is just for fun.

Same here, I hated the stock ABS. Much cleaner under the hood without all the clutter involved as well.

Do any of you guys run skinnies on the street with no ABS? I've only put maybe 200 miles on my skinnies on the street but I have never had the ABS kick in. I wouldn't mind deleting it but I'm concerned Ill need it when it counts.

My notch has no abs and skinnies. But fox bodies stop like **** anyway so idk how much it matters.

It stops much better with the new shocks tho.

I have a set of street tires I run. If you run skinnies all the time you can dial in the proportioning valve for them... not sure how effective that would be vs. ABS though.

Threshold braking is far superior to any ABS system.

he kinda hit the nail on the head in some aspects, when I drive my car, it feels like a old muscle car, the new stuff doesn't have the same feel to me. Although riding in the new stuff, I don't think it rides any rougher than my fbody.

Why does people about plastic on those cars. Everything was plastic then. **** it took till 2011 for the s197 to even get a comparable quality interior to a 93 4gen. Besides....4gens were very quiet smooth cars.

can't say that it is. Especially not in the multiple scenarios a street car sees. Wasn't on our BMW's either.

Pretty good video. Other than the can't work on the new stuff part...not a lot different in terms of working on a 4th gen than a 5th or 6th except having way more room in the new stuff.

It absolutely is in every scenario I've encountered - Wet or dry pavement, pure gravel, glare ice...not once has ABS out-performed threshold braking in any platform of vehicle, truck or car, in any of those instances.

ABS is amazing for the average person who is going to just stomp the brake pedal when they lose control in the snow/ice or they are about to rear end someone.

Ive actually gotten plenty of compliments on how "raw" my car feels compared to the modern stuff... More of a "drivers car" I know, weird compliment, but they were sincere, haha

Neither interior was superior in any way - but one was especially good at changing radio stations on the 2-3 shift.

ABS is okay for the average person...but we are talking about people who mod their own cars in this group, and buy improved brake components, pretty far from the "average person".

You're pretty good then when you get that one tire locking up that you can pulse your foot fast enough to gain back traction while not relieving pressure on the other 3. I bet you're better than traction control to.

Abs is a great safety net and it most definitely will help maintain control.
