Ive got a new client just bought an amateur restored 90’ Fox coupe (black interior) with a 351 swap and decent upgrades. Seller just lost interest you can tell - gave up underneath the car before properly sorting out. We’ll finish it up - err body loves a clean Fox
Looking at a xlr-v on Saturday. Car looks good, the Northstar guy I know claims the later Northstar engines didn't have the head gasket problems, I haven't found any complaints online about the 4.4, I like how they look. Anything I should know before buying it?
Odd....my car has all that yet yall claim it's gutted. Weird

Still great place to start but needs a good bit of work to be right.
Are the tq boxes still ok? Floor cracked? Seat cross member cracked?
351s fit them like poo as you can tell from header fitment. Looks like it has some potential tho.

I love these cars, but always thought if I happened across one, that an LS swap would be included in my projected ownership costs. No reason you can't drive it until something happens. My friend has an STS-V with the same later Northstar and hasn't had a single issue...but I tell him to buy lottery tickets because of it.

Northstar 4.4
The XLR-V used the same superchargedNorthstarV8 as the STS-V, though output was down somewhat. For the XLR-V, the engine was certified by the SAE to produce 443 hp (330 kW) and 414 lb·ft (561 N·m). The supercharger and four intercooler cores were built into the intake manifold. A six-speed automatic transmission, larger brakes from the Z51 Corvette, and 19-inch wheels were used.

I cant really have anything against them except for I could never bring myself to spend vette money without just.....buying a vette. They are def very good looking cars.
