Nothing terribly exciting, but finally getting back to ordering parts for the Camaro. All new front brakes (calipers/lines/pads/rotors), new front wheel bearings, and trap door access panels ordered. Havent ordered anything rear end wise yet since I havent decided on a rear axle yet.

Our Drag Weekend is this weekend, so all my free time is dedicated to that event. Our first multi-day event including a Friday evening car show at the airport (while we setup as much as possilbe), then two full days of racing Saturday and Sunday. Looking forward to it, hope the weather cooperates, and glad our province (state) doesn't require anything to attend.

Our local club has small web page if anyone wants to have a look:

TBH, at the time I quit posting, I just got tired of the stupid **** in this forum and HPJ (is that place even still active???). Hope to start getting back to the track sometime soon, probably not this year but maybe next season.

Its more a question of 8.8, 9", or 12 bolt. Im leaning heavily towards the 8.8.

Glad to hear your shootout went well - and the weather was great for both events! We had a great turnout vehicle wise and spectator wise, had a ton of fun.

Dangg, doesn't get much tighter than that!!

We had some really low 6's in the 1/8th, but still haven't seasoned the runway enough to dip into the 5's. It's getting better, and the weekend put a lot of new rubber down. Got a line on some new ideas for first 60' of prep too, so will try that next year.

The one on the end with everyone crowded around it is GT350 #003 which was the first Gt350.

if it's race car 9" fo sho. Because it'sa pita and loud. Ive worked to make mine quiet in more ways than 1.

If it's auto or street only car 12 bolt.

I wouldn't consider a 8.8. It's just a copy of a 12bolt anyway. So might *** well have one with a cast in tq arm mount.

8.8 better than a 12 bolt in pretty much every way, torque arm or not.

Nice work, islander033!!!
NW99SS - I think this is the first time I've seen pictures of your car all around, that thing is badass.

I've been away for a bit, built a house, blah blah blah. I figured Hio's 4th rebuild in the Camaro would be up and running by now? What's going on there?

you're simply a stupid **** if you think a 8.8 is better than a 12bolt. Furd copied that rear close enough they even use some of the same bearings.

But this confirms everything i ever thought about you. That you don't know **** about ****.

Dumbasses like you should be bant from the interwebs.

Isnt the 12 bolt center section one piece with the pumpkin instead of bolted on? The axle splines arent an issue as they would get replaced with 35 splined units.
