I've had that same thought a few times. Square body suburbans are still relatively cheap, and damn are they comfortable cruisers.

If I go that route then the goal will be something that I can fuel up at ANY gas station in the country, has relatively few moving parts, and parts are readily available at every auto parts store in the country. A bolt on/tune 6.0L should provide plenty of power for anything I would be doing with the truck.

things have definitely slowed down in here. I try to check it daily just to make sure people are still attacking Hio for no known reason. It’s how I check to make sure I’m not in a simulation. 😂

Cause nobody pulls up next to a ZL1/1LE or a GT350 and asks, "Hey dude, how fast does that go around corners"?
Nobody cares.
They do want to know however how fast does it go down the dragstrip.
I am one of those guys.
I don't make fun of the road course guys but I could not care less if your car pulls a "G" in a corner.
Now tell me your factory stock car runs eleven's.or your modded whatever runs low elevens or high tens and I will give you a nod.

Went from 13.9-14.0 down to 11.6 @ 125 by installing an LSX427 and an S60 with 4.10's. It's got more in it than 11.6 on motor but throw a bottle on with a 150 shot and I'm in the 10's no problem

I feel like that setup ought to be running at least mid 10's on motor.

I get that. I guess I just dont feel like its as much of an accomplishment to drag something in a straight line that was purpose built to go around corners.

Couldn't agree more. Pat G tuned the car and it's making close to 550 rwhp so it's not that the engine is down on power, I just haven't really laid into it at the track yet and It dosen't help that the car weighs in at 3,840 with a 240lb driver in it either. I've had to make some lifestyle changes as of late and goal number one is getting my blood pressure under control and get back into shape through diet and exercise.

Good deal man. Ive had some health issues of late myself ive been trying to get under check. I have the opposite problem with weight. Lose 45lbs in 8 months for no explicable reason. Doctor says im 100% healthy so I dunno wtf is going on.

Hoping my vette with land somewhere in at least the low 11's with the new HCI setup incoming.
