mid-12's is NOT the Z06's range......low 12's is where the Z runs.....i agree with everyone, he must have downshifted from 6-4.....thats the only logical explanation in my POV...just my 2 cents

 

Hey BLK SRT I would love to see your car. I am in the market for a new daily driver and the SRT is what I'm looking at. We need to hook up sometime so you can give me the ins and outs on the SRT. I think you live in Warren right? IF so that's not far for me at all.

 

That is a good point. I think we all have done something like that to play with a car that we know we would kill. Racing in 6th vs non turbo civics is always fun

Only problem is that some of the civics are then like "DUDE I RAN WITH AN LS1!!! )

I'm sure Blacksrt has done the same against cars himself too lol.

I really dont know why anyone claims that. Just think of this logically. Why would any car owner only want to beat a Neon only by a half car??? If I were him I would downshift to the lowest gear and try to **** his ****. I wouldnt be wasting my gas by just putting a half car on him in 4th gear. When I waste my gas I make sure to try to kill the other car. I dont mess around and just go to 4th or something.

I have done it but that is when I have raced the same person more then once. I race him the first time and just normally accelerate. Then I race him again and make him look like he is on the break instead of gas. I doubt this vette owner wanted me to be at his door all 4 times.

 

ya never know....there is still a chance that he could have been breaking the car in, and didnt wanna **** things up too to badly, so maybe by downshifting from 6-4 he was just messing around with you.....believe me, a Z06 runs low 12's...and with the mods done to your car, you should be in the mid-high 12's yourself...not tryin to hate on you or anything....just the facts...but anyways, nice death

Cool. Yea, I know you arent hating becuase it is pretty hard to believe. I still dont know why my car was able to hang with him. There are far too many things can be be wrong or right.

 

i hear that....i know where your coming from man....maybe he really did get some shitty headers, or maybe it was a shitty install.......regardless, i was hanging with a Z06, we were pretty evenly matched up, and my front tire was matched with his tire....crazy **** goes down on the streets...

also i posted my kill against an 03 conv. cobra and there were a numberous amount of mustang owners that kept bugging me with questions about the race.....some people just dont listen

 

sorry to burst your bubble, but i have seen Z06s run mid 13s also. driver issue, yes,but your making an assumption that every Z06 will run low 12s. and before the elevation issue comes up, this was at San Antonio Raceway. no car is exactly the same, even if its stock. add driver factor and anything is possible. give the guy some credit.

 

The driver mod doesn't really exist from a roll race...

the hell it doesnt... what about like the statement above??? what if the Z06 driver went from 6th to 4th??isnt that a "driver mod" error? or what about missed gears? another driver error? or late reaction to the 3rd honk? or sloppy granny shifting,not double clutching like you should
