As far as the neon goes, anything can happen on the street. This story is believable, and I'll call BS on just about anything. Now, I'd be right with you mr. smokedmti422, had this guy posted he just put 9 buslengths on a Z06, but he didn't, what he said is well within the realm of possibility.
i'm not sure why everybody thinks z06s are so untouchable.......traps of the mid oneteens are about right, and on the street a jump of a few tenths is barely even noticeable, but makes a huge difference......at the track i raced a 89 turbo trans am and i thought he beat me through the traps, but it turns out he left 3 tenths too soon.....i was 5 miles an hour and two tenths faster, but he would have beat me if the race was on the street........the guys on the z06 board are saying you should be looking for low 13s to mid 12s going to the track for the first time in anything but the '05.....now thats with plus 2 second 60's, but the traps are still about 115, which isn't too far out of reach(as in, he could make it close) for a high to mid 12 car...

one time a few months back the srt4 guys came in here and we all talked some crap and all got banned - so be it.
but i was on here long before that happened, and havent done anything since, except talked to people in here that ive raced (WS6snakeater & crager & that dude with the stock formula) yet i keep getting banned

The 2001 models aren't that big of a difference....maybe .2 and maybe 2mph in the quarter if that much. Bottom line, if this SRT does run mid to high 12s, it is anyone's race.
