the z06 at milan i saw run a few weeks ago ran a 12.9.........i just saw the end time, but my wife said he was pretty much sideways in first and second........it was a new lease(04 i think) and i overheard him saying the dealer told him 12.3s but that he didn't think it would even reach that.......

I think we can all tell when someone makes up something but it sounds like BLK SRT has a good running car. The driver of the Z06 could have been short shifting or any number of things. If BLK SRT has a 12 sec car then up to the speeds of the race seems to be about right. Good kill.

I have never driven a 6 speed M-12 trans so i'm wondering if the ZO6 went from 6th to 3rd insted of 4th (i'm not saying he was in 4th during the race) would he still run pretty much side by side with a mid/high 12 sec car?? He said it was a 30-80ish race so should'nt the ZO6 have been in 2nd at 30mph?? Or would that be too quick of a shift into 3rd to even bother?? Sorry for the dumb questions i'm just used to my a4 pulling 2nd to 85mph...lol

If you are running mid 12's you should trap around 110 in your car. You may have caught him in between sweetspots, who knows. I do know though that SRT's can be pretty sick from a roll. Congrats.

Yo BlackSRT, was this on Gratiot on I think Friday night? If it is, I was there (Riding a Blue Yamaha R6) and saw a black SRT-4 do a 2nd gear run with a Red Z06. I don't know how fast you guys got up to, but the SRT was only behind by a fender. It was surprisingly close, but if this was not you then I saw another SRT only lose by a fender to a Z06.

 

Does anyone know how much of a difference an 01 Z06 versus an 02-04 Z06 since I heard the 02's not only have more power, but better midrange because of the cam. Perhaps it was an 01, too? I see those with good drivers trapping at 115 which isn't that far off you.
