Talking E36 M3 vs 2002 WS6 opinions please...

My bro is getting his "new" 1998 E36 M3 with a manual tranny.(it's bone stock now)
So there's gonna be a big race... just wanna know a little bit about the Bimmer like 0-60 , 1/4 mile, hp-torque ... etc.
Anybody knows those cars.... need some info please.
Yeah I know I will rape the Bimmer for sure but performace wise I've got
now clue what they put out.
My car is in my sig.

E36 M3 vs WS6 video is coming soon.(Hope you guys happy now)

ps;
His previous 1988 E30 M3 smoked my Camaro badly . And it was a four banger 2 litre 170 hp crap against my 305 V8

SO IT IS REVANGE TIME

he has no chance, youll blow his doors off, the only fast m3's in this country are e46's. the e36's here have 240hp and 321hp everywhere else. youd destroy him even stock and with your mods itll just be even uglier. i think they run high-mid 14's. 0-60 somewhere around 5.8 or 6.0 or something like that.

Your wrong about the e36 m3 stats. A stock e36 can run a 14.1 1/4 mile but a 13.9 has been done on a stock e36 m3 and 5.6 0-60. So you will still beat hiim, but if you get into some turns its going to be a different story. I have beaten a car bye about 2 car lengths that runs a 13.8 and i only have a few bolt ons. If he hasnt bought the car yet though i would have him check out a audi b5 s4. They are about the same price as the m3 but alot cheaper to make real fast.

Funny, I just raced an E36 on the highway last week -a few high speed highway runs. It was ugly....I pulled on him like crazy. They aren't slouches on the highway by any means but no competition for a bolt-on LS1.

I have to let you guys in on a little secret.

Some of those E36 M3's will kick your asses.

Picture all your horsepower in a dignified car that handles.

Now wipe the drool.

What drool? I was thinking more along the lines of a Porsche or a Ferarri.

Understand him.... I let him drive my car.

Funny, my girlfriend is originally from Ft. Wayne, and she has 2 TransAms. (Neither is LS1).

This thread is called: "E36 M3 vs 2002 WS6 opinions please... "

Please find the thread titled "Porsche or a Ferarri vs 2002 WS6 opinions please... " and you will find your drool there...

As far as a LS1 Vs. an M3: We did a Bimmerforums run from Phoenix to Tucson two years ago. Some of Phoenix's fastest M3's went, and we had two LS1 Transams that went as well.

This thread was the pre-event discussion, which is not worth reading:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...9&page=1&pp=50

We ALL had 2-way radios and most had radar detectors. Two had police scanners and they actually heard calls about our group and got the word out in time to get us to conduct civilly. One of us was pulled over and ticketed for "driving too slow" because the cop knew he'd been had.

I don't know if there were any grudges between the LS1's and the turbo'ed M3's, but the TA's had no problem keeping up and were always with the front of the group. They could likely have lead from time to time, but I wasn't up front to know. I was usually somewhere in the middle of the pack (floored at 120-130), so I missed a little of the insanity up front.

There was a thread with pictures of all the cars and some crazy **** that should not be done, such as passing trucks on the median at 130+, but it seems to be gone. Too bad. That would have made writing this **** worthwhile. There was some video as well.

(By posting this, DaveAZ is in no way advocating racing on an open highway amongst normal traffic. Disclaimer yadda yadda )

My friend has an E46 M3 and from a dig I pull about a car on him, but from a highway roll, he pulls really hard on me.
