Its was my frist time at the track for frist, 30 some degrees outside and on **** *** street tire that were on the car when i bought it, and the track isn't the best in the world, the people aren't every good on track prep too.

When my motor is back in, i'm planning on going to bristal with the guy with the viper. I'll let yall know what happens. Oh, and it's funny i posted in the street racing part of this forum and most said i didn't have a change. But i know it's like that at any kinda forum.

Thanks

And another thing Mister, just remember that with out Mother Mopar we would never have the kind of cars we have today. Hell the Quickest STOCK car ever made was the 1968 Dodge Hemi Dart
Calm down, count to 10, take a deep breath, whatever you gotta do . i myself love the Classic Dodge Hemi's but Dodge just ain't the same to me anymore oh well.

With a set of slicks they would run 10's in 1968. They hade fiberglass every thing, sliding door window, fork lift seats for seats, light weight windsheild, a 727, dana rear and a littel plaque in the door jam that said "This automobile is not for use on public highways and does not meet the US transportation departments safty standards"
Thats sick

FYI did you know the fastest mass produced car is the ZR1 Corvette..... that was in 1996 so maybe there's another
If the car was not street legal then technically its not stock. The last year of the ZR1 was 1995.

Not bad, but you would expect more. Not much better than a stock LS1 really. So, if you have some mods I think you have it.

Oh yeah...and what happened to the days when Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth made performance cars the working man could afford??? We have the Viper, Magnum, and SRT-4. The first isn't readily affordable to most people, the second would have been better as a coupe instead of a wagon, and the SRT-4 is not even a muscle car. Ok, enough ranting...
So trapping at 114 is not much better than the average 106-107 stock ls1?

and what are you talking about with dodge making muscle cars the average person can afford? Affordable is subjective. The wagon/coupe thing has nothing to do with your thesis of affordable. you left out the 300C, and the srt-4 will either kill or stay right with the fastest muscle cars from the 60's and 70's. I give kudos to dodge/chrysler/plymouth for giving us peformance cars still (SRT Jeep, SRT charger, SRT Wagon(i believe), SRT Ram, and SRT Viper and the SRT NEON), not to mention, the mid level hemi cars that run well also and are actually practical.

What exactly does GM have thats generally considered affordable? The cavalier with the ls1?

To me a stock car is anything you can buy assembled from the factory. Thats what the Hemi dart was, a Factory, Buy one at the dealer, 550 hp, Race Car...... But it was still stock even thought it wasnt street legal. And I know that the LT5 was only around til 95 but the record was still there in 96.

FYI: Stock LT1's have the rev limiter set at 5750 rpm, not 6200.

Dude, you may want to do some more research on topics before you post stuff like this. Yes the Viper has a V-10 in it, but that doesn't make it a 'truck engine', also the Viper's tranny is NOT a truck tranny. They are different.
