Ricers? So I'm on my way home from work today, and I pull to a stop light beside this older Integra with a fart can and a HUGE wing on the back. I give him a rev, and he replies with a rev. So I'm thinkin' hell yeah, I get to eat some rice today. I knew we had a little bit before the light turned green so I rolled down my window and shouted, "Hey, did that wing make your car faster?" He replied with, "Now I'm gonna have to spank your *** for talkin' ****." Then he reached down like he was turning something on. Nitrous? High boost? Who knows. Anyway, I'm ready to go, and the light turns green. I bust off the line, and realize that the cocky little F@#K didn't even try to race me. I was pissed, so I slowed down to 25 or so so he could catch up, and the little dick head did a ricer fly by on me. So, no race, but I know I would have spanked his ***. Re: Ricers? i had that happen to me a long time ago. i saw the guy the next weekend and asked him what happened. he said "ohhhh i got you". i replied "WHAT!? how did YOU get ME?" his explination was "i got you cuz you thought i was gunna race and i didn't"

Re: Ricers? maybe he was reaching down to turn on his neons and get the sick HP from them. but they weren't plugged into the cigarette lighter so he was low on power and thats why he didn't race...

Re: Ricers? the trick is when they pull that crap, watch your rearview and side views, let them get up to about 90, as they get about 1 length behind you hit it, let them get to your door so you can wave bye bye as you pull away from them!!!....works for me.

Why upgrade a 4 banger for speed? It's just a waste of money. Go spend it on some food or take your gf's out! Never waste it on the car!!

Re: Ricers? Why not bother to fix up an import. I went from 99ss with heads and cam package intake, etc. and sold it for a 94 Supra. The reason why I sold it is becuase I got cracked on by 3 of these one night not to mention 1 mr2 turbo. I spoke with the Toyota club after racing and they told me each one of were running stock blocks. If u ask me it takes just as much to fix up a domestic than import. Look at some of the stroker kits available 422's out there for 15000 and up, guarnteed for 550-600 hp. We can make this with just basic bolt on. Don't get me wrong I still love the domestics but I also love the technology and brute strength of these motors. I would love to see a domestic put down 7-800 stock block flywheel hosrpower but I dought it will happen. So far I have spent less than 8000 on my car Greddy t88(3700) upgraded fuel(2000) clutch (675) few more other things but have nothing to do with hp.

Re: Ricers? You are talking about cars that come force-induced from the factory. Whole different ballgame. 03 Cobra: buy a $200 pulley, and depending on the pulley specs you can put anywhere from 400-500RWHP and torque to the ground. Try doing that to a civic or and integra (which is what most people refer to as the typical ricer car) and see what the bill runs you.

A "stock civic with a bolton turbo running 12's"
If you know anything about b16's or b18's you would know that you would have to put at least 10k into an engine to get it anywhere near 12's on a "stoc car" let alone LOW 12's.
oh,...and another point for the "stock" civic.
There is no way in hell that the entire car can take that much power without falling apart.
When i was helpin out my bro in an import shop , kids would come in all the time and would have their axles snapped on 80 shots of n02. Please tell me how a stock civic can take the power to run 12's..
I have pictures of a ded B18C that was t-66 turbo, that barely broke 13.1 after he blew a pistion.

There r all motor civics running 12's with bolt on's let me mind u there r some running 10's to all motor. I don't care if its gutted r not it's happening. So u r telling me a turbo charged b18c 10 psi can't run mid 12's also let me mind u he dynoed 268 to the wheels so what is that nearly 300 r just a bit over.
