Somebody needs to video this. Bring a sun dial to time that Mustang! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> I wish two equally talented drivers would drive the cars so the outcome will be accurate.

yeah we have a place it can be hosted at (same place as the c5vsgt video)

I own both, when the middle of second comes around the ole mustang is going to be seeing the Honeycomb, middle of third the honeycomb will be fading fast (bolt on to bolt on). You would have to be one hella bad driver to loose.

Re: 02 Mustang GT vs 02 Trans am the race
Don't get me wrong, I love Mustangs (thus the name) but there is no way in hell a stock 02 GT can beat a stock 02 Trans Am. There is just no way. You should not even waste your time. Even if the driver of the 02 T/A is inexperienced and the driver of the 02 GT is a professional drag racer, there still would not be a chance. I do not know the exact specs, but an 02 GT might be lucky to pull a high 14 in the 1/4, whereas an 02 T/A will probably get low 14's to high 13's, even with an inexperienced driver.

Thats a cool video, except the times did not show, but it looked like that Stang was pretty fast. One thing though, it did not sound stock. All I am saying is that I have never seen a stock '02 GT run in the 13.9-14.0 range, but I guess there is a first for everything.

1989 was no contest. Stock Turbo TA killed any stock Mustang of the era. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: 02 Mustang GT vs 02 Trans am the race
My cousins bone stock 90 IROC ran 14.4s at a tick under 100. They just tested a 89 Formula 305 with a 130000 miles on it in GMHTP and it still ran a high 14 bone stock. So I would agree with Fbodies beating Mustangs for 30 years

But that still doesn't beat the low 13 second times I've seen out of totally stock '89 TTAs. <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" />
