So I'm driving on 880 south, minding my own business (seriously), one lane over from the fast, cruising in 6th gear.

A white M3 with DTM exhaust tips, comes up, and sorta cruises next to me for a bit. I look over, and the guy is looking straight ahead. Some preppy looking blonde haired geek with sunglasses. I give her a little gas to just move up, and away from this guy, and then all of a sudden, he floors it. My God is his car SLOW.

So I decide, ok... I haven't had a race in a while, this guy is going to get a whoopin. So I catch up to him, and hang out behind him for a bit. There is no room on my side to get next to him, so I just hang out about a car and a half back from him. I'm in 4th gear @ 3200 rpm.

All of a sudden, he floors it. I didn't have time to shift into 3rd, so I just floored it. My cam is big, so the power band is way up there. So when it finally hits, I start reeling him in VERY fast. I let off, as I'm coming up to him at least 20-25 mph faster, and hit the brakes. He changes lanes, and takes off... he's still WOT (I can tell from smoke coming out his tailpipe the whole time).

I decide to follow, and laugh at him. He wouldn't let me get next to him! LOL! He kept weaving in and out of traffic trying to avoid me. Well, it turns out, he takes the same exit as I do. I get next to him, and he turns to me slowly, and I just shake my head, and laugh.

What a loser.

I dont have a problem with street racing but weaving in and out of traffic at WOT is just stupid to me.Just be carefull around guys like that they could get you killed.

Yeah, but you have a talon.. next week you'll be broken down and he won't.. And the smoke you smelled was prolly your motor leaking oil and burning it off (i only say that cause it's a DSM ) I had one and I have several friends withh them... Any mods kill DSMs. I have 7 friends with DSMs and 2 of them are running. Yeah, they can be fast, but they're about to break when they are. They're the breakingest car I have ever owned, well except for my Taurus SHO.

And my Talon is modded, has 108K miles, and has never had a problem, and runs 12.7.

I have no problem. The comment about DSMs I was making a statement of my knowledge from past personal experience with DSMs. Maybe I generalized too much. My buddy Craig's 98 TSi is going in the shop this evening for a 1g into 2g motor swap (crankwalked orig. engine) and a new transmission. As for the cookie statement, I was being a smart (_!_), chill and don't take it personally. Didn't mean to **** you off, just trying to be funny, obviously un successfully. Sorry.
