But...there were aton of v-6/267/305 A/G/F-bodies with Hooker, Holley, Blackjack, etc. stickers on them. These cars also typically had big rear rims and had airshocksto back up that blazing 16+ sec. 1/4 mile <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

and the Eclipse has some 2" gay HKS turbo that puts out maybe 10 psi boost and neither of those cars run under a 15 sec 1/4 mile. It pisses me off when they wanna claim that they can take my best friends 02 SS with wisper lid, k&n, and SLP exaust. When in reality their is know why they can.

Re: What's wrong with the younger generation? Duh -there are a few that will pull a stock LS1. No ****. But there are far more imports that will be destroyed by a stock LS1. I was busting the Talon's guy's chops- you never noticed that the vast majority of talons / eclipses are driven by women? Can they be fast- of course, but this is an LS1 board- if most readers liked those cars they'd own them, and would be on another board somewhere.
I do agree with a previous poster's comments that there have always been "ricer" types even in the musclecar era. I guess what really gets me is the ignorance of the current crop of "ricers". There are some who are knowledgeable car guys, but many think adding platinum plugs & a fart can are major mods that make their car into a race car.
