Doing a paper on street racing, need interviews
Hey guys whats going on. Im taking english over at cyfair this summer before i start college to get ahead. Im writing a position paper on street racing. Im trying to get some people to give me some interviews for some sources on my paper. If you would fill out the following questions and send a PM to me. Thanks for the help in advance.
--------------
Name:
Date:
Time:
1. What got you into street racing?
2. What makes you take the risks that you do racing on the street?
3. What do you think makes these risks worth it?
4. What do you think about the laws against street racing?
5. Do you think that laws have been taken way out of proportion?
6. What makes you street race over racing at a legal drag strip?
7. Have you ever been in an encounter with the police? What happened? How did they treat you?
8. Have you ever just been pulled over because your car looks to "fast" even though you really haven't done anything?
9. add any other information you would like that you think would help me with my paper.
------------------------
thanks again guys and i appreciate all the help i can get.

10. What is your home phone number, street address, and full name (including social security number)?
11. Please provide video footage of your car engaged in a street race. Make sure the license plate is clearly captured.

If I were to ever street race....
The main reason would simply be because I came across a semi-exotic car (not seen every day) or somethign that had a big rep (Read 350Z for the ricer crowd or LS1 for the Muscle crowd) and got a shot at lining up next to him to see how my car really measured up.
As far as the risk taken, If I were to ever race on the street...I would never do so when or if I thought anyone (pedestrians, etc.) were at risk (read:abandoned or VERY LOW TRAFFIC highway/road in a non-residential area). Also, a glance for cops.
If I WERE to see tha ol' red/blue flashers I would be the FIRST to pull over. Police are like dogs, they chase what runs...Example: I was cruising right behind an escort (of all things) at XXX speed when a cop JUMPED the median with his flashers on (came over a hill). I SLAMMED on the brakes and was at 55mph before the escort ever cracked below 90. (this was back before I sold my 95' TA and still had AWDisk brakes, lol.) While I recieved a dirty look, that was the extent of it (the escort was soon pulled over and most likely went to the big house.)
