If I ever win the lottery I'll build one! A voice came to me in the night:

"If you build it...they will come..."

"Very short gearing would be 4.88's
My car only has 4.30's."

I think most people would consider that a short gear. I bet you don't do a lot of highway driving with those gears.

"The 3250 lbs my Mach weighs doesn't sound featherweight to me..."

No body said featherweight but that is 200-300 lbs. lighter than most f-bodies.

"My car is far from having "all the bolt-ons".
There's quite a bit more I can bolt-on before getting into the engine & doing cams, porting, etc..."

Oh really, like what?

"Just because you're P.O.S. can't take a hard launch without shattering your stock rear all over the starting line, don't hold it against me that my car CAN take it for hundreds of passes without incident...
... it makes me chuckle BTW when I see an F-Body that's replaced the factory glass GM rear with a 9" Ford set-up that will actually hold-up & not explode when leaving hard on a real tire.
[u]Basically, [b]there's nothing funnier than an LS1 car with 9" of Ford stuck in it's rear that the owner WANTED there..."

What's worst a chevy with a ford rearend or a ford with a chevy engine? I would say the latter.

"...I squarely kick your "Stripper" right in the nut-sack."

Are you forgetting my 12.43 was on a unprepped track, no slicks, no burnout, and a 2000 rpm launch. There would be NO "squarely kick your "Stripper" right in the nut-sack."

"I could care less if my dyno sheet were bigger than yours or not, or if you could beat me by 1/2 a car from 70 -120 mph."

A 1/2 car?.......it would be more like 5 cars. I think that you think because I only trap 1 mph higher than you that you can hang with me from a roll. The truth is you only trap that high because you are coming out at 6800 rpm's and you probably cross the traps at a similar rpm also. I only come out at 2000 rpms and I have to shift into 4th about 100 feet before the traps so my rpm's are only about 3000 rpms through the traps. What does this all mean? I think you know. My car will start pulling car lengths on you at an alarming rate after the 1/4 mile. The same principle holds true for a roll race.

"I'd rather crush you at the track with 100's of witnesses, no chance of a ticket/arrest/car seizure & the pleasure of receiving a time slip record of your defeat..."

As I stated earlier, you wouldn't crush ****.

Why don't you throw in the towel already and walk away. I could eat a large bowl of alphabet soup and **** out better posts than you've provided here.

There has been a misunderstanding on my part. Somebody was talking alot of **** on about page#9 or #10. We were going back and forth. He posted pics of a clean red T/A. He is from Texas and I am from Louisiana. He ask me to make a road trip to race him. Long story short, I thought you were him. My posts were meant to sound southern. I have a 4 year college education but sometimes I forget how to use it.

And yes, LS1's usually do pull Mach 1's on the street, been there done that. At the track, both cars mildly modded, I usually have it my way...
It also depends on "modified". A ls1 with bolt on performance parts vs a mach that is being modded specifically for the quarter isn't a mod for mod race. When we race your car WAS much better setup for drag racing. The gearing is the main reason, a 2.66(1st),3.42(rear) geared ls1 vs 3.30(1st),4.30(rear)geared mach, that your times stay close....hummm wonder whose gonna 60' better? You MUST realize that you can only go so fast with 309rwhp, once you max out your traction and gearing you will hit a brick wall(physics). If the two cars have the EXACT same setup(mods, rear gear, susp, tires) the ls1 will win for the simple fact that it will make more tq&hp.

ps. you must have had it your way at burgerking

Seems like you forgot to post anything worthwhile the last few pages of this thread.

I have been saying this over and over again on this site, svtperf.com, and ls1.com before it went into the *******. Some of these mach guys are too thick-headed to realize this. See my above post on this subject.
