We both ran bad with the humidity. I ran 3 tenths slower with headers than I did 2 months ago with just Loudmouth. I ran a 13.7 with a shitty launch. He ran 14.6 with an even worse launch. Later in the night he pulled a 13.5 and the rains came and ruined our night before the rematch.

Ok I see now, I thought both of you had good runs and you just beat him by almost a sec.. That was kinda hard to believe for a sec. But it looks like both cars had some trouble off the line so anything can happen on some crappy launches... Good Job..

Yeah I go out there to b.s with people and look at the cars. I won't run mine up there though but if you want to run me sometime we can set something up legal like at the track.. And if you don't have slicks or skinnies I'll just drive up there on my street rims to make it fair for you.. I don't think it would be fair for me to yank you by about 5 cars out of the hole on my slicks..

I'd say if he would have got his shifts down right and if I would have finally tried leaving the line at something other than idle, it would have been a damn close race.

He hunted down some drag radials that he was going to put on later in the night but like I said the rain hit us first. Then he prolly would have edged me out.

If you want to talk about race teams... stock eliminator Ls1's go low 10's at 130 lol The times you TWO guys seem to post on regular occasions are NOT the norm with stock internal Mach1s... and a 3100 pound raceweight IS VERY light.... If you compare apples to apples as I've said the Ls1 f-bod is the faster and quicker car down the 1/4 mile. I laugh when you guys act like it isnt...

Thats just it, your wrong. Down the 1/4, the Ls1 f-bod is not going to be a for sure winner in a race with a Mach 1, both stock for stock, and mod for mod. More often than not, I bet you see the Ls1 lose actually. The Ls1 will trap higher, and pull in a freeway run, but at the track, the advantage definately goes to the Mach 1. Maybe you should laugh at yourself for being so ignorant?

I ran a ss on the freeway last night and I pulled him all the way to 130 and we had to shut it down. i was about 2 or 3 cars up. I don't know mods

This ***** good.....

The Mach IS a better drag car, better geared and stronger rear and the LS1 has more power and will out run a Mach from a roll. Too bad ya an't have the best of both worlds, can't some of ya just give credit were credit is due? Some people are way too brand loyal, I figured most of you guy would give up on that brand loyal **** considering the ****** at GM destroyed your F-Bodys..... Me myself am a Fbody/Mustang guy, Ive owned 3 Fbodys now a blown GT and I liked them all

Well, you are trapping 110 in the 1/4 and if the SS was bone stock, which it sounds like it was, than that makes sense. Once again though, your car is lightened & by no means a representation of your average and stock Mach1 and therefore has no relevance to the discussion of LS1 fbod's vs Mach1's stock for stock and mod for mod. Now tell us about a highway race vs an LS1 Fbod that is modified virtually the same as your car is

You think every Mach is lightened up??? Everyone I know that drives LS1 Camaro's and TA's are lightened too.. So who cares if someone takes out the back seat or the stuff in the trunk I see plenty of F-bodies with out their rear seat, and their bumper supports to make them lighter. So give it up on this your lighter then me.. Hell we are lighter then you from the factory are you going to bitch about that too??? And BTW I don't think anyone here is talking about stock Machs and stock F-bodies.. I know I haven't ever seen a stock LS1 Camaro or TA yet.. So the chances that you will run one that both cars are bone stock and the person is going to race is very slim or none at all..

What? Where did I say that? Obviously I am talking about his car only. Obviously if he is trapping 110 in the 1/4 and only has 296rwhp than he is lightened. He also has other mods and the SS was likely bone stock. Point is simply, that there is no point in mentioning a race of a modified Mach1 vs some mystery SS on the highway which was most likely bone stock. His car traps 110 and we all know that bone stock LS1 Fbods do not trap thta high. He quoted WhiteTX talking about how an LS1 is faster on the highway and than he posted how he beat this SS on the freeway. Based on the fact that this SS was most likely bone stock, the results seemed to be exactly as they should have been. So what was his point? I certainly can't imagine he was trying to reinforce what WhiteTX said.

So I was simply making the point that there was no point in his post. Get the point?

Ok I gotcha, BTW last year when I had only 295rwhp and 316rwtq the car was lightened and the mods were just a mid pipe, cat back, 4.10's and sticky tires. I had some weight reduction at that time and I was running 12.2's at 111mph.. The car weighed 3230 with out me in it.. My race weight now is 3150lbs and I have about 25 more rwhp and 20more rwtq..

Of course its not CERTAIN, thats true in ANY race... Ill say it again, mod for mod and stock vs stock the Ls1 F-bod IS the faster/quicker car period.

BTW, my car is back to normal with all the seats. It may have been stock I never got a chance to talk to him.

and again you are wrong, I have a friend and his wife and they have both cars an 02 Z28 and an 03 Mach1 Mod for Mod both cars are the exact same ET's, the Mach has pullied a little faster ET but the Z has had a little faster mph but not by much at all... Both are manuals and both have built 8.8 rearends and launch on slicks.. Every mod the Mach has, the Z has also.... They did that just to see which one was faster mod for mod and so far they are even on the ET's.. So I have seen it first hand and not one of them is really any faster then the other.... So unless you have modded both and raced both I don't think you can say with one is faster mod for mod or stock for stock.. We all know that the LS1 makes more power no one is arguing that, But more power doesn't mean its faster.. So quit bumping your gums about stuff you have not personally built and raced, because we all don't really care what you think because what you think isn't true and you have no grounds to compair the two, now do you..

No, you are quicker but I am faster. Think you could take me on the highway? This goes for you too, Angus Beef.

I'm quicker AND faster than you, Chippendale Boy (Get it, Stripper-Chippendale? LOL!!)

I could take you on the highway, the byway, the turnpike, your mamas driveway, the dragstrip, a roadcourse, or a parking lot! Thing is, I'm not traveling out to Ohio just to prove a point. Maybe when the price of gas recedes, I'll give it some thought. TTFN, Chipper!
