ME Vs a Mach one??
I raced one at the track. He had CAI, x-pipe, exhaust, shifter, SCT tune, and ET streets. My mods are listed below and I was on street tires that particular night. My best was 12.7 @ 112. His best was a 13.0 @ 106. This is the fastest one that I have ever personally seen. Most machs at my track run 13.5-14.0 @ 102-105. Good luck, I think you will take him.

My SS was completely stock and I raced one that was definetely modded...just from the sound of it! I pulled him 3 times in a row from 70-120mph. 3rd race...he jumped the gun a little and got out in front of me...I was afraid I wasn't going to get him again, but then I hit fourth and started to catch up/pass him. We ran into some traffic as I was passing him so I shut it down. It didn't help however that the guy's girlfriend in the passenger seat was flashing us as we raced...

I ran one this weekend that had drag radials, exhaust mods + who knows what other mods.
We spoke briefly in the staging lanes before racing & he kind of snickered at my car after I told him that my engine was completely stock & that I didn't have nitrous or a blower.
Then I did this to his SS:
I saw him later & he wasn't snickering at my Mach anymore...
Obviously your car is significantly lightened to run the numbers you do. You don't hit 113 trap speeds with 300rwhp unless you're quite a bit lighter than our fbods. So even if your car is stock internally, you still have every bolt-on and significant lightening so your car IMO is significantly modified.
Your car is not your average Mach1. There are extreme examples of stock internal Fbod's out there w/full bolt-on's and significant lightening that run just as good or better times as you. You can't use those as an example of what most bolt-on fbod's run at the track, just like you can't use your car as an example of what most mach's run at the track, or as a comparison to what was obviously a full-weight fbod with minor bolt-on's.
I think the bottom line here when all is said and done is that Mach1's and LS1's are a pretty even match stock for stock and mod for mod. The LS1's usually will have a little more power but the Mach1's are a little lighter and have better gearing.

i think this is some funny shat. look im a chevy fan all the way, but im a performance fan more so if you have your car setup and sounds and looks good i give it props no matter the brand. i learned my leason of basing someones cars off of others i see run at the track. some cars are built a little diffrent than others off the assembly line. so if its a ford or chevy and it runs good and sounds good i like it

FWIW, my car weighs-in at 3250 lbs & I still have plenty of bolt-ons left to go.

In fact, that's just the point that I was trying to get into 2001stripper's little head.

Hey Anguss I just ordered all my rearend suspension and shocks.. I found out the other day after do some inspections of my car my lower control arm on the driver side is slightly cracked and the rubber bushing is torn in half and coming out.. I ordered UPR double adjustable uppers and single adjustable lowers, with KYB AGX adjustable shocks.. Hell I was still pulling l.64 60fts with some messed up lower control arms.. I should be able to pull some 1.58's now..
Just don't tell anyone on the registry I want to keep it a secret from some people who I have a race coming up with..

It's the least I can do for my little fanboy who follows me around to all the Ford/Mach 1 sites continually making posts about how slow Mach 1's are at his home-track...

When you start stripping a car you have to compare apples to apples.

Good luck with the new parts & maybe you'll get some air under the front tires. Spectators love the front tires leaving the track...

It will be a drivers race and you will more than likely be playing catch up. He would beat me by about 4 car lengths off the line(I was launching@2000, to his 6500rpm). Those cars 60' really well with gears, but the ls1 will pull more mph.I had a lid,lt's,ory,hpp3,cutout; to his cold air, tune, bassani x&catback,4.10's and a built rear. I did not beat him every time, but I still had the best time.Bone stock i ran a 13.2@108, and i have seen a mach run mid to low 13's on street tires. As long as you get a 2.0 or under 60' and don't miss any gears you should get him at the end.
Our boards at HRP do not show times on weekends so they just light up whichever lane wins. I would post one of the ONES (videos) that Blake won but I don't have enough space on my smallish site right now
.With my numbers now at 309/333 SAE and some driving mods I'm 60'ing in the mid 1.6's, trapping in the low 111's, with high 12.2 ET's.
I haven't been to the track since late April.
