Thanks for the article! It looks like Sacto is using Homeland Security money for targetted traffic enforcement... Probably why I never heard anything about it.

It's actually kind of funny, since I live in a much smaller town than where I work. I actually have been pulled over down in San Mateo county quite a number of times, just IMHO for driving the Camaro home. Since I work 1600-0200 I come home around when the DUI's are heading home, and I know talking to the more rural officers they are just hunting for a drunk.

Where I work we are (the sector cars) too busy to do targetted traffic enforcement; unless it is a grant from the state or Feds and it is done on OT...

Thanks for the heads up, because even I still get pulled over...

Like I said, I will keep my eyes out now, thanks to you... Although that will only probably last a couple days because I have bigger fish to fry.

Just don't get hurt dude!

Yeah, this is gonna help protect us from another 911. Nice to see our tax dollars at work protecting us from another terrorist attack. It doesn't matter that terrorists are entering our country at will and planting explosives all over the country. It's more important that we keep people from modifying their cars.

LOL I totally agree! But remember Homeland Security is the re-arrangement of quite a few Government programs and agencies...

Last Homeland Security OT I had was actually WMD training, and use of a Chem/Bio suit...

You were thinking what I was thinking, thanks for typing it out though...

The shame is I rarely see any 03/04 Cobras, the last one I saw I signed off on his front plate fix-it. Beautiful car!

There's an initiative here in WA to do away with the front plate requirement. I hope it passes. I've been stopped five times and checked out for not having a front plate but never ticketed for it. One of the Troopers that stopped me was pissed about the law too. He didn't like having to put them on his street rods either.

I'm in the same class as your mother, but that's irrelevant.

Well I don't work in the Southern or Mission, so it is useless to me; although I do have friends at both stations. Oh well...
