Default Z28 vs. Z06 vs Evo8 vs SRT4 (vids!)

Several members of our local internet forum met up last night. Cars included my Z28(383whp), a z06 with 385whp(richard might be a member on here), an evo8(Evildylan on here) , a Mallet 396 vette, 2 bolt on C5s, a C4(runs 8.0s in the 1/8th), A bolt ons T/A and an SRT-4 with Mopar S1 and nitrous. We headed out to a 3 lane interstate and had some fun.

First run was the SRT, C4 and the EVO. From a 20kick to 120. They started out pretty even with the C4 geting a huge jump of about a car. SRT getting ahead of the EVO with better boost repsonse, but the EVO came back hard and ate the SRT up pretty rough like and eventaully caught the c4 at 120ish.

Next was me and the EVO from a 30 kick. He pulled out ahead in at first, but i had the avantage of longer gears and more HP and reeled him in. In 4th i pulled half a car on him. he missed a gear, so we rinsed and repeated with similar results two more times.

Lastly, The z06 and i tangled from a 30 kick. 2nd gear i pulled a fender, 3rd a dropped back for the first half a gear, then caught and passed him. Hit 4th and he pulled another fender on me at the bottom of the gear....I knew i could run him down so we took it to 145-150ish, but i hadnt pulled ahead and conceded the loss. Awesome freakin run tho. He had a little more down low.

Vids will be posted soon!Dylan, feel free to correct me!

hmmm something wrong with a Z06 with 385rwhp having problems with a 385rwhp F-bod... What is your raceweight? That may explain it.... My Z06 is almost 400 pounds lighter than my Z28 was, translating to a huge advantage if equal powered... If your talking about a stock Z06 then that sounds about right... Just curious

z06 had full tank of gas and a 200 lb passenger. z28 had none.

It takes a bit to process as much as I shoot a week, but you know that. The file sizes are just huge. I still don't have a good way to shrink them down yet.

Some really good runs. I kinda wish the Mallet was out there as well as me with mine (Richard's old one). It would've been interesting to see how everyone would've run.

I have some runs with the Mallet and a GTO on Sunday, so check it out.

Don't remember you ever passing my car, but I can have my passenger post and confirm anything in question. Not taking anything away from Nap, it was a good close run. His car is pretty quick.

I had not planned on racing that night, thus taking on a passenger with a full tank of gas. This was the second day in 8+ years to drive a manual due to knee issues, so my shifting may have been off...

Just thought I'd better chime in since others in the community who know me have contacted me about this post.

Like you said, it doesn't really matter. Just heard some stuff about this post from my TN friends and wanted to clarify.
