Owned a Ford badmouth talker.
The **** talker, my roommate, proud of his ford. He's been talking bad about my nissan for weeks now. Sais his big engine would pwn my little import rice cannon. I called him out a couple of times, but he wussed out. Finally tonight, he comes up to me and sais Let's race...I'm thinking: "great, right after i filled gastank all the way up." Don't matter. Racing from the launch, who needs the roll...better for him anyways, with the torque.
1st Run. He honks. I get the launch, because of lack of torque ( he spins somewhat ). 1st was about even. He switches to 2nd..hey I still have 1500 rpms to go..I hit 2nd, squeel the right rear wheel . Pulling. 2nd Run. He honks. He doesn't spin as bad, I spin more this time. 1st about even, till he switches gear, i hit 2nd, squeel the wheel, slowly pulling. Blinkers are on. Owned. He had hooking, new tires and 1/4 of gas tank. I still have economy tires on, full tank.
Both vehicles are stock, manufacturers specs below.
Him:
1998 Ford Ranger King Cab 1 wheel drive (open rear end). V6 3.0 - 150 hp, 180 lb/ft. 3500 lbs.
Me:
2004 Nissan Frontier King Cab 1 wheel drive (open rear end). I4 2.4L - 143hp, 154 lb/ft. 3250lbs
He actually had a K&N Air and Oil Filters
P.S. True Story.

wandering the same thing here.....Oh yeah buy the way a 3.0l Ford V-6 doesnt make 150hp. Lucky to make 120....I had one as well.
Also have to realize that Nissan makes a very nice stout v-6...roughly 265hp.....You should hand him his *** everytime regardless....
Post'em on the truck page, not here....
Also just looked and realized that you had a 4 cylinder.......

yeah I was trying to figure out why the names "ford" and "nissan" are even part of the discussion.

Hey, trucks can be fun to race, too. I got a 1996 GMC Sierra with an LT1 in it and if I would have found this site sooner, I would have posted some kill stories. It doesnt have to be an F-body to make a good story. Just when an F-body is involved, that makes it better.
