425rwhp srt-4 goes down Out cruising last friday night and a guy in a white srt-4 says he wants to run on the hightway. I ask him what he has done and he says a 50trim turbo, upgraded fmic, fuel, downpipe cutout, ect. He says he puts down 420's to the wheel. I said I probably dont have anything for you in my pretty stock ls1 but what the hell. Three beeps at a 60 kick and were off. I pull about a car before he spools up and here he comes. Spins 4th gear beside my door and walks me about 10 cars. As im winding out 4th I realize hes not pulling anymore, hit fifth gear and began running him down. Tacked past 155 and down goes the srt-4. Hell of a race though. Fasted srt-4 Ive ever raced. I gave him props and went on my way.

no doubt, he was the faster car, even though he was kicking it when I passed him. He said the gears should go to about 162 in a srt-4 before bouncing off redline. My car has 120k miles. It has a flashed ecu, k&n fipk intake, and flowmaster catback. Everyone tells me it is a stock freak. Got it dynoed last tuesday. 297rwhp & 319rwtq.

To give you a comparison, there is a 380-400 FWHP Stage III SRT-4 in the area, a slightly smaller turbo, but it does the trick...... he ran in the 11.9's between 117-120mph this summer.
There is also a 415-430 FWHP 50 trim SRT in the area, that needs the driver mod, but is trapping 125-126, but hasnt seem to made it out of the 12's yet. That is scooting for a neon!

Wow after putting numerous buslengths on you he then lets out and you pass him at 155mph and post that you beat a 425 RWHP srt4.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...................wow.

Well....I have raced some fast SRT-s,....dammit. All that I "ran into" on the road....on the way to the street races. First one I raced and beat, was a 418 wheel horsepower SRT, sunset orange. It makes 480 something on race fuel.... I beat him(before I had spray) from a 60 roll. I jumped out a car and a half on him....stayed EXACTLY there for a couple of gears, then started to walk him. Very fast little bastard car. He said he had never had a vette pull on him, ever.
I also raced one, that told me he was laying down 370 to the wheels...and I honestly had a harder time raceing this kid. And it was over a buck fifty. I don't know if it was stripped down on the inside, or what. I just know they can be very fast, since they only weigh about 2800 lbs. Thery're gonna walk any f-body that isn't laying down 450rwhp or more.
