'01 WS6 vs '06 Supercharged Saleen Mustang
I raced him four times. Twice from a roll and twice from a stop. Older guy he was pretty cool and told me he needed to practice and it was brand new. Pulled him everytime. Just wanted to share since it was supercharged. I had been wanting to run one and i did.

How bad did u beat him? How fast were you going? Shed some more details...Bolt on T/A beating up a S/C 05 GT. He should be somewhere at 400rwhp (ATLEAST) right? He would have gotten you good from a roll IMO.

If I remember correctly those Saleens aren't running much boost in stock form. Though one thing is for sure, they carry a hefty price tag. There are 2 here locally at the dealership for 50+.
I raced a lime green n/a saleen and it wasn't even funny. I have yet to come across a S/C though.

i think they BOOST like 4 PSI maybe 5 .. they are nothing but a expensive body kiT on a GT. And if this guy did not know his Power band i see NO reason why this guy beat him.. Nice Race BTW

Congrat on your kills.
A New Saleen with a supercharger is no slouch,4 psi is to the new motors what 8 psi used to be for the old mod motors.
Boosted 05 Gt's with slicks have been running 11's through stock pipes,so i say the potential is there, good thing you smoked him before he got used to driving his new ride.
Even then you might still have whooped him.
Never know.
Congrats.

I don't know. I'm not seeing how a basically stock WS6 is pulling on this car. But I guess anything is possible.

i ran one a while back- i put 1.5 to 2 school bus lengths on him.
good kill and i completly believe it, i was very unimpressed by the performance of the saleen i ran, if it was an 03/04 cobra it would have been ALOT closer so i think those hp #'s are bs and the car is too heavy with maybe peaky power.

But seriously, the hp figures may be there, but the guy in the green n/a saleen (that I raced) said he test drove the s/c version after buying his and there definitely wasn't enough power to justify the difference in price. He's going to do a KB instead

It wouldn't suprise me at all if the guy really beat one.
You can talk about HP/LB until you're blue in the face but MM&FF got 12.7's-high 12's @ 111-113 out of their '05 SC Saleen test mule. No differences that I know of between the '05 and '06.
There are plenty of stock LS1's in the high 12's minus 1-2mph of the Saleen. And plenty of mild LS1's running the same or better as the Saleen ET and MPH.
Take my car for example Just about as stock as you can get and the only difference between my and the Saleen #'s is a couple of mph less on my end. And we ALL known that...say it with me..."Anything can happen on the street".
