Looking 4 Supra TT vs. TA turbo video
I have a boy that into supra's and I am to but I can 't into his head what an LS1 is capable with turbo. This video was put up a few months back . The video is bad ***! It's a black WS-6 with a single turbo I think the guy called himself Mecham vs a Black Supra with TT. I see the Cobra vs the Supra but I can't seem to find the WS-6 vs Supra TT. If anyone knows where I can find the video or the person who posted it up can post it up again that would be cool. Just to show a friend a lil taste of some LS1 with Turbo. Peace to every one in car seen.

BTW...
I didn't mean to take anything away from the T/A, very fast car; just saying that both cars have about the same performance potential from similar modds.

yeah, but its all relative, strange way to compare cars...
yo get a supra with 800-900 hp in there (as many, many supras have) and the results would have been different.
Then again the trans am could maybe get more power too, so its all relative, yes Turbo T/As can be crazy fast, but still, I wouldnt compare cars like that. if you want the better roll racing car with way more potential for power, supra is where its at...

How does the 2JZ have more potential than the LS1?
Trans Am MAYBE get that power? Visit the FI threads here, you'll see many stroker/turbo motors over 1k rwhp. Look at the new Lingenfelter LS2 TT packages.
Just because the powerband of high output single turbo Supras makes them better suited for roll racing doesn't mean a turbo LS1 with more area under the curve is worse at roll racing, that's absurd. That's like saying since the EVO is fast out of the hole with AWD, it must not be a good roll racer (of course the EVO IS a GOOD roll racer, too).
An LS1 has the potential for any peak rwhp numbers of any 2JZ Supra motor and WILL ALWAYS have more area under the curve, better for rolls, digs, WHATEVER. That's not to take anything away from the Supra. It's amazing for the Supra to pull the numbers they do. There are ALOT of 600rwhp+ Supras out there to show that they DO have incredible potential.
I still want to know what makes a Supra a better roll racer. ****, stock, their rear ends ARE BETTER than F-bod's.

True.
Potential, meaning peak numbers.
You must realize they have distinct and unique powerbands, though.
