Like the title says, got killed today in my t/a 386 horsepower by a kid in a neon srt-4.I was on I-35 and airport around 4:30, I was going to the store when I saw the neon coming up fast so I slowed down to race him but due to some traffic I couldn't,not until we reached a red light so from there we took off, one problem I have is that I have street tires so when I took off I spun alot, so by the time I finally got some traction he was already ahead of me by the length of car 1/2, so when I was getting close to him he sprayed and almost hit a car. But the point is that I lost to a freakin neon,that sucks. Next mod is heads from horsepower engineering. Hopefully that is enough to beat a spraying neon next time.

Look at it this way, at least it was american made. Those cars go very well. Do your heads and maybe you will see him agian.

I had a buddy race my procharged Formula with his neon a while back.. He had all the basic mods with the stock turbo. Then he sprayed a 75 shot on top of that. he hung at first then faded to about a car and a half back . Still a close race though. Those things get damn fast.

Not a bad death, the SRT is a pretty qiuck car, and with spray I would imagine it being really fast. You having street tires surely didnt help either, oh well run what ya brung. Suggestion, put a 100 shot in for some insurance.

Don't feel bad, at least you didn't loose to a neon with your girl in the car..and all your buddies watching you get beat from the freeway by a neon(we were racing on the feeder on the 45 south).
That was a very humbling experience and I caught soo much flack for that months after I got beat. But that is when I just had my 99 GT, which is for sale right now. I just recently bought my WS6...once I get it tuned right I would love to Crack the crap out of one of those cars.

Also, that guy probably knows what he is doing judging by the launch. That makes all the difference in turbo 4s and in FWDs. Good death.

And the SRT-4 is a Neon about as much as a V6 F-body is a Camaro. Technically correct, but not really.

Im really curious on how he got a Car & 1/2 at the launch. FWD sucks .. what did you do JUST right out STOMP the life out of ur peddle at the start ??? . I also see you put down 386 he must have 1 hell of a neon to take you i guess with spray...so dont feel to bad i guess.

i got a buddy with a neon that keep's doing more stuff trying to beat me.his car sounds mean and shoot's out blue flame's thru a cutout when he shift's.i have no idea what he has done to it,but i keep beating him pretty bad.the lasttime i beat him he said next time he's spraying me.we are meeting up wed. at the track to see how it turns out.

?? What are you talking about?? How much does N20 cost everywhere else? And just cause its got a 4 banger and a wing-its not rice. I'd take the wing off if I had one though.

I rode in a 500rwhp 03 cobra that got pulled on by one with spray/slicks, not too bad though. They can be quick.

Um, no- nitrous is just modification done to get more air into your engine, to give you more power. It serves the same exact purpose as turbo/superchargers. Just because the user has the option to use it or not to use it, and it can be hidden sometimes, people sometimes give it the "misconception" of a cheating device. Fairy tales my friend.
