Im thinking there is a little more to the story as well. A good friend of mine has a fairly modded rx-7. He is still on stock twins but has an intercooler, raised boost, upgraded fuel system and a tune as well. And he still dosnt pull on my car as hard as you did in that video. I found a vid of my friend in his intake/exhaust only c5 running the rx-7 with the mods listed above and well ill let you guys see what i should be more like....

This site has been a waste of time. I doubt I'll have anymore posts. I like to run my car not my mouth. Most of the V8 owners I meet have more excesses not to race, then they have CI's. They can talk the talk, but won't walk the walk. I destroyed this LS1 as anyone can see. The owner of the LS1 TransAm in the video is a good sport with a very nice car, he should get some more work done, or some NOS. I make no spectacular claims, you know what I got, you know what I did. Accept it!

i think thats a more accurate video johhny bomb's modded rx-7 could probably keep up with a bone stock A4 ls-1, but from the look of that video both cars are pretty much even i guess it comes down to the skill of the driver, and the guy in that TA was a bad driver..........good kill its not your fault u raced a bad driver, that bad driver just happend to be driving a car all of us here on this board love

Ohjonnybomb! I've thought about this and after previewing the video, I don't think it's fair to say my stock (engine) LS1 would match up with that LS1(mostly stock) KILLER you got! I'll tell you what, looks like you got him atleast two car lengths in that video! I'll take 2 car lengths in the quarter from a dig for $500, you can look under my hood, everywhere you want and you gotta race! I can't take a chance on running that thing head-up (at least not for money and quite frankly that's what it's gonna take to get me to race you), the way you raped that T/A! My car ain't any diff than that! 2 car lengths, $500 and you got a race this weekend (weather permitting)! Sorry dude the proof's in the video! Can't do head -up with that monster! That should help you prove how accurate that video was! I'll video tape it so you can show everyone it's not BS! Here's your chance!

so intake/exhaust and ECU takes a mid 13's second RX7 into the mid 12's? wow. they run like 10psi stock... so 13psi is gonna make some more power

bone stock rX7 is like mid higher 13 at best car at like 103 at best. exhaust intake takes it lower 13's at 105ish. tune and boost will do mid 12's depending on how much more boost.

with 13psi and ecu tune and exhaust, that rx7 can move pretty good. i think it would be alot closer race tho with a intake exhaust LS1 as they have gone high 12's like that.

 

Can you even blow a rotary? I mean WTF is there to blow, its a rotary.

 

they do got a "intake port" that leads into a "combustion chamber" and then out thru a "exhaust port"

so yeah, you can force air in to make power
