The car is full weight. I didn't even remove the spare tire or jack. Race weight on those runs was around 3500lbs give or take 20lbs depending on fuel in the tank at the time.

The only real weight reduction my car has is I removed the rear spoiler (~5lb reduction).

You can pick up LS1's for 10,000 or cheaper. Srt-4's go for about 22,000. That's a 12,000 dollar difference! Actually, you right. It's not fair to compare an LS1 to an Srt-4, because the Srt-4's are so much more expensive.

Even LT1's are hard to beat. An Srt-4 is a drivers race stock for stock against one and you can pick LT1's up for about 5,000.
Not sure how you missed his point but I will give it a try. When you compare a stock car to another stock car, and bring the pricing BS into the debate, you need to compare prices of both cars when NEW. that's what he was trying to point out...

"After he dynoed both he told me that the WS6 beat the Vette by 10 hp."

Yeah I have been told the same thing by a buddy of mine who does performance mods to lt5, lt1,ls1, and anything else he can make power with. He said that on average the camaros make 10 to 15 more hp at the wheels than the vettes. He has a dyno in his shop and has dynoed both. If you want some one honest and good at what they do look him up. Southwest GA Corvettes (SWGA) he is located in Thomasville, GA.

The mn6 LS1 Fbody is a awesome performer....To me it goes a little somthing like this...( AS A REFERRENCE POINT I BELEAVE THE AVERAGE MN6 LS1 F BODY RUNS A 13.4.....SOME A LITTLE SLOWER AND SOME A LITTLE FASTER BUT THIS IS WHAT I CONSIDER I NORMAL TIME FOR THE MN6 LS1 F BODY)

LS1 F BODY MN6......1 TENTH QUICKER THAN 2.73 A4 C5 13.5

LS1 F BODY MN6.......1 TENTH QUICKER THAN MN6 MACH1 13.5

LS1 F BODY MN6....2 TENTHS QUICKER THAN 04 MN6 GTO 13.6

LS1 F BODY MN6..........3 TENTHS QUICKER THAN MN6 SUPRA 13.7

LS1 F BODY MN6....1.1 SECONDS SLOWER THAN 03 VIPER 12.3

LS1 F BODY MN6.....8 TENTHS SLOWER THAN 02 Z06 12.6

LS1 F BODY MN6....4 TENTHS SLOWER THAN 03 COBRA MN6 13.0

LS1 F BODY MN6....2 TENTHS SLOWER THAN F.R.C. C5 MN6 13.2

LS1 F BODY MN6....1 TENTH SLOWER THAN COUPE C5 MN6 13.3

LS1 F BODY MN6......1 TENTH SLOWER THAN 3.15 A4 C5 COUPE 13.3

LS1 F BODY MN6....1 TENTH SLOWER THAN 05 GTO MN6 13.3

I CANT BACK UP EVERY ONE OF THESE TIMES..AND I KNOW ALL OF THE ABOVE CARS LISTED HAVE WENT MUCH FASTER...

But I beleave the numbers are a good representation of what the cars run on average by average drivers at average tracks....

I can back up the corvette claims how ever with a list Ive been working on for the past 3 months on corvette forum....

This is not a top 10 list or anything like that... I simply add anyones times to the list who runs bone stock....

so heres a link to see what 100% bone stock C5's have ran all over the country

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...7&forum_id=108

As you can see mn6 c5's as well as the 3.15 geared a4 c5's almost always run low 13's....

The fbody is also capable of low 13's.....But the percentage is far less..

As to all you guys arguing about the 2000 bucks in mods and still not running 12's thing....

DIFFERENT TIMES AT DIFFERENT TRACKS ARE ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS..

example......I know a guy who was always running 13.2-13.4 in his auto C5 here in hawaii with shorty headers an exhaust and an air intake.....

He moved to the main land and his first time down the strip he pulled a 12.7 in the exact same car he was pulling a best of 13.2's in here in Hawaii...

Different track....Same car.....5 tenths differeance

You are quoting a m6 That runs 13.4's if I do my math right.

M6 F-bodys are geared with 3.42's. That's a really good gear ratio for that car. You saying that a M6 Fbody runs Mid 13's is a joke. Anyone that knows how to drive can pull a low 13/high 12 outta that car. Only mod you'll probaly need is tires and a lid.

This debate will never die.

YEA WITH TIRES AND A LID IT'S NOT UNCOMMON TO SEE f BODIES RUN 12.8-13.2....

But where talking bone stoick here.....13.4 is a normal time...Guys pulling 12.9-13.1 bone stock have freaks or the best track conditions in the world...Guys pulling 13.2-13.3 are really good drivers...

The 13.4 is a solid time for a f body. Not the best... Just remember that before you go talkin about how easy it is to pull high 12's low 13's in a bone stock F body...

THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF POST OF PEOPLE RUNNING 13.7-14.1 IN THERE BONE STOCK F BODIES

We all no for a act that a 2002 Z06 is capable of 12.4's (or better) but notice I put 12.6...simply because 12.6 is a normal time that you will see one run...

As well as the 03 cobra....We all here stories of stock cobras running 12.4..It's aout as likely as an Fbody running 12.8 stock or an 2002 z06 running 11.8 stock

but if you go to there actual site you'll see that almost everyone ran a 12.8-13.2 bone stock...So i put 13.0 as there time..

As well as the C5's....13.3 is a normal time...But there have been two bone stock c5's that ran 12.6...

TO ANYONE WHO HAS A PROBLEM WITH ME SAYING A STOCK F BODY RUNS 13.4....SIMPLY DO THIS....DROP 5 TENTHS FROM THE 13.4 AND SAY THE F BODY CAN RUN A 12.9......***** BUT YOU HAVE TO DROP 5 TENTHS FROM EVERY ONE ELSES TIME AS WELL TO KEEP IT CONSISTENT....EIGHTER WAY IT SAYS THE SAME THING****
