Default Black LS2 GTO

Heading home from a late nite and was cruzin along when a 3 series BMW and a LS2 GTO fly by. So I caught up to them and the goat hits it we started from about 100 and ended at 145, what amazed me was i had about a car or so on him at the end. He jumped off on cypress blvd so never got to talk but for a mild slp optioned SS i thought I did real well.

Good kill! It's all about power to weight ratio and gearing from a roll.

too heavy to run with the fbodies??? unless you have one of those stock stripped out fbodies, an LS2 GTO is about 200-300 lbs heavier. and what about gearing???, the gto is geared better to run top end, besides, in 4th gear the ratio is 1:1 on both trannies, stock vs stock an LS2 GTO has better gearing and the power to overcome the weight difference.

btw, nice kill...

Bro my my money would still be on a M6 2001-2002 F-body stock vs a 2005-2006 GTO, yes the stock gearing is better in the goat, but the F-body had wider tires for better trackson, a better stock shifter, ans STILL THE WEIGHT ADVANTAGE!!!!

My Z28 weighed 3500 lbs with me in it. My dad's GTO weighed 3900 lbs with him in it. 400lbs is a big difference. It would put fauslpss's power up to around 365 is both cars weighed the same. I've never seen a stock 05-06 goat dyno over 350.

I'm not a fan of GTOs but just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There are LS2 GTOs dyno'ing 350 rwhp. If you visit GTO forums, you'll see that they are out there.
