02 WS6 vs. 96 Porshe 911
Well my buddy's dad traded in his C5 (auto) for a porshe 911, non turbo last yr. He claims it's faster than the vette. Saying it'll run 12's stock. I know it has about 275 hp, but whats the 1/4 time? The bird is my bros 35th anv. M6, SLP intake/exhaust. I have no doubt in the T/A, but I wana give him heads up on how bad he'll get his *** kicked

To me that seems a little fast for a car the has a curb weight of 3300 and 355 bhp. The normal Carrera in 2005 had 325 bhp. I raced an 05 Carrera cabrolet from a 40 mph roll before I had headers on my car. I pulled it, I wasn't that impressed.
The 1996 is even slower than the Carrera I raced.

You dad must of had a factory turd C5.
I just found another review on the 1996 Porsche 911:
http://www.theautochannel.com/vehicl...s/gap9639.html
0-60 MPH 6.8 seconds
1/4 Mile (E.T.) 14.2 seconds @ 99.8 mph

yeah I told him he was full of it, saying the porche was faster. I never rode in either but another friend of mine did and said he felt the c5 was faster. Which i didn't doubt. He did "try" and race a LT1 camaro last yr and got his *** handed to him lol

he would of had a better chance racing u in his dad's auto C5. i raced a late model 911 non turbo (320bhp)from a roll, and it was dead even until both of us let off at around 120.
