BS. I have seen you and other fucktards on that site consistantly bash domestic guys posting logical and informative posts and you **** love to gang up on domestic guys on that site.

whatever the damn 427 vette is called. I think motortrend topped it at 196. I know it ran 11.4 at 127mph.

And yes, I agree, but we are talking about being safe or designed to go 200mph. I surely feel safer in the vette than I would in the 350z doing 170+.

Looked like the 350Z was drafting up in that second race. At those speeds it's very noticeable. Great races though, both are very nice cars

Bull ****

A passenger of that size makes a massive difference, stop or roll.

That and If the 350z would brake boost liek he should have. The 350z shoudl have lost all drivers being = in perfectly even conditions. heavier car, little less power. but it wouldnt have been that bad.

Correct.. Z06 did have a passenger (I believe it was his other son). He was filming (wasn't apparent from the angles I had shown - the two other runs where douche'd my shifting, he was on the other side of the car.

The brake boosting is not something I was familiar with at the time, but I've been innundated with PM's since the race suggesting I do so in the future... learn something new everyday.

I'm hoping that in 3 years when the resale value of the Z06 falls flat that I can buy one too, lol.
Amen to that. theres an Autotrader add for one right now. $89,900, 3K miles and no test drives

They are just to good and too rare to be obtainable yet. That'll change though.

Sorry, I really should have explained that better when I listed it

Although it does get very complex too, to a point where the general rule is not always true. Guys really really maxing out a turbo setup at low elevation will lose about as much as an equal NA car by going up in altatude. The turbo simply cant compensate since its already doing all it can. I doubt thats the case on the Z, but ya never know....

In hindsight, probably wasn't the brightest thing to do, given traffic; but at 130 - 140mph, it's really remarkable: "As seen on TV" if you will...

Yeah but if something happens to the car in front of you, then you will really be on tv.

The new z07 is 196 I think I have read. 220 maybe different, but 200mph isn't out of the question. Like I said, 190 in that 350z, I just can't imagine, but than again, I don't own one either. I've been in quite a few vettes. Even the C5 feels safe at 170mph.

What's the 350z top speed governed too. I know the old 300zx was 155.

Now I wouldn't argue you at all if I was trying to take my formula to those speeds. 160 is stable, but I don't know if I would push it past that.
I've had mine up to 150 with no trouble. Nobody really runs at those speeds it's a pointless comparison. Nothing is really safe at that speed. If you're talking going straight the Z has an aero package with zero lift. I felt like I was doing 100. In racing they aren't taking corners at 200mph.

Yeah, Thats the outcome that I expected. Both are nice cars, but the vette runs mid 11's at 125/127Mph NA.

I'm glad we had the chance to run again. Not common I ever see a Vette/Viper/etc owner get out there on their free time to do this. Can sure trip over the SRT-4's and Cobalts that would line up to do this.

It was a good death
