+less weight than 350z
+more aerodynamic than 350z
+better gearing for higher speeds than 350z

Looks like the Z06 driver didnt know how to do the three honk go real well. He was already pushing ahead by the third honk and was out front the second race. Weak sauce baby. He would have won regardless.

Nice runs with all nice cars. Looks like it was as predicted here, zo6 edged ahead, however im still quite impressed with joedirt's car. Wouldnt mind going for a ride in any of the three. Nice runs for both camps.

 

The run against the magnetic red C5 with nos IS NOT a Z06. It's a coupe.

 

I copy pasted what the 350Z owner typed since he was there. I didn't check for side badging.

I've only seen the vid once, trying to look at it again but this dialup is killing me

and I know that there is another difference near the rear wheels as well with the black duct

 

Just saw the vid and yup it's a C5. If Gloveperson is still reading this thread, let joedirt know that he ran against a C5 with nitrous not a Z06 on nitrous.

Dam# . . . if I were the ZO6, knowing full well I have an advantage to begin with, I would have made ALL the race-starts at least fair Maybe even give the T350Z a half a car jump.

In the second race the ZO6 got a half a car AND THE MOVE

In the third race, the spraying C5 got a half a car lead too . . . what gives

The first race video looked to be about a fair start though.

Buddy all those cars in the vids would wipe the pavement with you, gotta say that the z was respectable but it's obvious the battle with the vette wasn't going to be in his favor.

 

First off the 350z in question has 437rwhp/446tq...deffinatly enought power to be in the same class as the new z06.

I dont see whats so hard to believe about this kill. most vette owners cant drive very well anyways.

Why did the z06 take the jump in the second race? damn learn how to race!

If you would pay attention to the title, and read through the thread, then you would know that when he raced him the 1st time he had 406 rwhp. 437 is enough to be in the same game as the vette. Obviously something was fishy about their first encounter, which is why I created the thread.

 

The first link I stated that the vette stole the move, joedirt stated that he should honk next time but it wouldn't have made sense if I posted that since it would sound like I was there.


The 350Z got a retune for this next meet and it gave him an additional 30rwhp.
