The GT ones are slow POSs that have nothing at all incomon with DSMs.(Rant off LOL)

Easy to make fast? No. Cheap to make fast? Yes.

My build might go down as the most expensive way to run 11s ever
I have a 2.4L on my engine stand (G4CS block with a 1G 4G63 head). Im running a ported Evo 3 turbo on it with a Evo 3 o2 housig and full 3 inch mandrel bend exsaust. Ported 2G exsaust manifold. Stock 1G intake mani. I will be running a 2G MAF and not sure on the IC yet. 850CC injector most likely with software to run all this with the stock ECU.

Total cost will be like 6K. Add in the car and its about 10K to run 11s and remember I'm doing it the expensive way. You could do the same with a 2L and just run more boost with say a 20G or 50 trim and run the same times while saving $1500 or more.

But easy? Hell no. You just slap a shot and some bolt-ons onto an F-Body and collect your 11. Much easier.

Keyword "ALMOST"

If those turbos are considered "fast" then what does that make our F-Bodies that beat them?

If someone says F-bodys are fast from the factory, and you question that by asking is 13's are slow, then what do you know about performance? F-Bodys are some of the fastest cars out there from the factory, and we all know that. So why do you question it with off-topic inqueries?

Who said anything about 13-second quarter-mile times? Stay on topic, farnoush...

i was responding to this:
Its alot more common to see a fast f-body or mustang then a four banger rice burner. The f-body and mustang are a fast car from the factory. You dont have to think twice weather they are fast or not its just not a question. Having a fast ricer is possible and has done over and over again its not in any more. Back to American Muscle now. Ie new camaro, 500hp vette, new cobra soon, gto etc

saying its alot more common to see a fast mustang or fbody because there faster from the factory. Well, the srt-4 has just about caught up to the pre - 05 mustang gt's and lt1 fbodys and the evo IX and STi's are as fast if not faster than fbodys.

Maybe from a dig. How about a roll? I don't think so. The torque just isn't there...

the torque is more important from A DIG, than from a roll. why do you think 1000hp supras run 13's....no torque (just kidding)

Nah torque is important all through the powerband at whatever speed. Not just from a halt. That's like Engine Performance 101 right there lol.

Faster.

Honestly, I know here at altitude a stock DSM vs an LS1 or even LT1 isnt really close at all if the drivers are equal. I enjoy imports, but I know that you really cant say a turbo 4 banger with a tiny turbo is anywhere near the level of a V8.

That said, when you start modding, the 4 banger will start turning heads really quick.

I cant wait to drop FI on my 318 tho - nothing like a V8.
