Im just wondering how flat the power curves on those bikes are. Im not shure they are not making 150 hp at 6k. They are probably making 150 at closer to 10k rpms. Any one know?

definetly higher rpms.......dunno what the powerband on a liter bike is, but on my 01 R6 I didn't actually start making power until about 10,000rpms (redlined at 15,500)....

1000cc sports bike make good power from 4,000rpm up they don't have a power band like an R6!

You can go from a roll at 70mph in 6 gear and still blow away most cars

Mine too, but somewhere around 6600 is when it comes alive....of course this was before the bigger sprocket. my old 600 needed 9-10k rpms to pull hard too.

That 1000 is gonna take you. Those bikes are so insanely quick! I've riden a few, I wanted to get the 06, but I love stunting too much, the 1000 is not the ideal stunt bike. Get it on film, I want to see how it goes. BTW, there was a turbo 408 car on here, 200 tran zam, he ran a 1000 and got killed bad, so I don't think your hopes are any better.

One thing you dont understand though is his car, he said, wasnt running the same as it was when it was tuned and he said he was probably only putting down low 600s I think to the ground because of it.

Isn't the ZX-10R the fastest acceleration liter bike??

I know my 04 R6 is pretty quick, but liter bikes are a whole different story. Especially when it comes to top end. I'd like to see this video!!!

ya I'm not sure what power I as making exactly but the local ls1 tuner out here (also has a turbo ls1) said it felt like low 700's,high 6's...

don't forget I didn't break boost and my car is a heavy son of a bitch.

I just sent it back thogh to have futral look at the tune and figure out y its overheating.

I will have a rematch with my friends gixxer though

LOL yeah. It went 11.50 @ 130 mph with a 2.0 60 spraying it from the top of second on.

On motor it went 11.8 @ 121 mph with a 2.0 60.

I just finished reading the posts. The first problem is car guys lying about the horse power they make. I am a car guy myself but there are guys out there saying they make big power and only running 12's. I honestly believe that this is the case. If you put down over 700hp to the tires and only ran 120mph in the quarter, you got problems all right. I do not care if you spun the whole way. your MPH should almost always be the same. That is the best way to guage a car. In this situation I believe the car will lose hands down cause I do not think he makes the HP he says. I have seen mustangs put down 547hp to the tires and run 9.50's. Just my .02 cents!!!
