LT1 vs. Kawasaki 636 (LT1 wins haha)
Was cruisin' along last night and jumped on the highway (for the locals, highway 4 toward Antioch). I pulled out toward the fast lane to pass some traffic (including the bike) then jumped back in the slow lane because my exit was a few miles up.
I was doin about 70 and the bike came up next to me, and started pulling wheelies next to the car (at 70 mph...). He wanted to go, so I dropped my **** to 3rd and punched it. To my surprise, I started walking the dude hard. In a few seconds I had a car on him, then we let off at about 120 with him still a car back.
I caught him at a stoplight at the exit and he said it was a new Kawasaki 636.
For the record, his bike should have won - it was faster. But he wasn't.

My old CBR600 was NOTHING compared to my current bike, it shoot to about 140-150, then drop off.
My Ninja will keep up with 900's and 1000's.
Anyone who owns a bike knows what im talking about.
There is a big gap from a 600 to a 750+

My Gixxer 6 took out a 600whp VR4 twice on the highway from a 40. Later that night I got walked by a stock 05 636.
I got the video for any non-believers.

I don't post here much anymore but when I read dumb **** like this I've gotta chime in.
Urbanhunter, you've gotta filter/catback LT1 and walked the bike I ride every day. If he was doing highway wheelies then he was not in sixth gear...fourth tops but probably third since 05-06 636's really don't like to wheelie. He had to have been in the right gear since he was doing wheelies. He wasn't racing you I promise.

Looks like a GSXR 750 does pretty well in my book, Higher traps then any 600 by more the 5mph in a quarter.

I will admit that
They can run with an older 750 to about 100.
After 100, Its all over.
My brother has a 2001 R1. Flattened, State of the art headers with matching micron exhaust.
After 120, he is GONE.
I dont go that fast anyways, but no 600 class bike will match a 750.
750's arent just a little faster, they are alot faster.
But like I said, the get go on all bikes is impressive, but i've rode about drove about 10 different bikes, and owned 2.
and 750's are alot of machine compared to a 600, or 636, or SRAD600, or whatever.
Take any one of them, and top it out.
Then, get ony my 02" Ninja 750 and top it out.
BIG difference.
They are all still badass machines, I love bikes!
No radio, no cell, no talking... just gone

Insurance?
750's, 900's and the newer 1000's will destroy any 600 class bike from 80mph+.
Im not going by test results, im going by real world racing. My roommate's friend has a 05" GSXR 600, white, blue and black. just got it, and against my 02 750 im gone from 80 mph+.... GONE
600's are light, because the motors are light and frames are lighter.
This helps them on take off, and they are nasty to 100 mph.
After that, its all downhill from there.
They still go, but ill be long gone by the time he reaches 150
oh... and my insurance is $80 a month
