Default Had some fun with an SVT Cobra

Well I had an encounter with an 03 Cobra the other day. He revved at me as I was leaving a restaurant. We flagged him down to ask if he wanna to run em. He laughed and said yeah,so we headed to a long strip of road and slowed down to about 20 M.P.H. I threw my A4 into 1st, to let him know I was ready so he throws his down as well (M6) we both nail it and I immediately jump a car length and a half on him we stayed just like that from 20-125,man was he pissed he had his wife with him and everything. We pulled over down the road and he noticed he sprung a radiator leak.LMAO damn ford. I was proud that my $6000 Z spanked his $30000 Cobra.
How much est. RWHP would ya say his car had. He had exhaust, intake,Supercharger pulley, and an underdrivepulley.

He should've been making about 460rwhp which is enough to easily run 11.50's
at 120-123mph...plenty to dominate a LT1 with your mods.

Good kill. I guess he doesn't have enough skill to handle ~460 hp as he should have ate your lunch. Anyways, take it easy man.

Yeah, well we all know what he should have done. But he didn't. Good old LT1, always full of surprises.

It takes that much for a cobra to run 11.5's? I did that with 379rwhp with the LS1.

No, it doesn't...but not everyone can drive. I went 11.29 @ 123mph
at 460rwhp on bald *** nittos in 100% street trim...full weight which
was around 3,950lbs back then. Pretty solid if you ask me given the
raceweight, lack of traction, and just a few minor mods.

I went 11.50's in my LS1 with about 450rwhp on street tires. Very comparable
to my Cobra.

What was your mph when you went 11.50's with only 379rwhp. I guarantee
it wasn't anywhere near the 120's.

IIRC, I was trapping almost 119 back then.

I seriously doubt that unless your car was gutted. You must've been
running a real tire out back too.

The car was not gutted at all. Full power accessories with absolutely no weight reduction. I was however running Hoosier slicks and skinnies.

**undeleted** - unit
So what's it going to be...379rwhp or 400rwhp. Why not just
make it an even 350rwhp if you're trying to imply that Cobras
don't get down the track well.

No matter, I'm several hundred more horsepower past 460 now so
it doesn't make a difference really.

Have nice weekend.

It's been so long since I last ran 11.5's I forget that I did that before I ever tuned her. I picked up exactly 30 rwhp from tuning on a dyno. Went from 379 rwhp to 409 rwhp with nothing else but a tune. The 11.5 was run with 379 rwhp. I don't appreciate my integrity being questioned.

EDIT: Yes, supercharged cobras do seem to be dyno queens. Also please try to be a little more realistic. Several hundred more horsepower than 460?
