Non-native English speaker?
Sounds like he roll-raced an M Shoe--I mean Coupe from 25mph and won by 1 car... and the Shoe was faster than he expected. Those cars are pretty quick, like an M Roadster with a trunk. Too bad they look like footwear...

I raced one from 65 to 100 and decided that my 5.0 performes EXACTLY like a Z3M on acceleration. I could have easily been in another Z3 M for as even as we were. Sounds like a good run and you prolly jumped his reaction time, not his car.

I belive I raced the 315 bhp car as I think he did as well. THe other option would have been the 240 bhp car, which either of us should have OWNED. Even if it is a few hundred # lighter. The Z3M's had a detuned M3 motor. Next up is the Z4M which should hit the streets soon if not already and I belive is rated at 330bhp or so.

What country are you from?
If this race was in the UK or Europe then all the M Coupe's have 320bhp for the earlier versions and 333bhp for the later ones. They are slightly lighter than a regular M3 I believe and should be a tad quicker.
Personally I quite like the look of them, if a long bonnet and short rear overhang means it looks like a shoe then I guess the same should be said for most Corvettes or a AC Cobra.

I dunno about the Vette, it's too flat to look like a shoe in my opinion (maybe a slipper)... but the AC Cobra DOES kind of look like a shoe... but a sexy shoe. It's one of my dream shoes--I mean cars.

I agree with the rounded front on the M Coupe (and the AC Cobra  )
But I really like the rear hatch, it's kinda quirky looking harking back to sports cars of the past with a hatch style rear a bit like an E-Type Jaguar, MG BGT, Scimitar GTE.

Or hell... when all is said and done, maybe I just think it should look like the M Roadster or nothing. Preconceived bias again!
