TY Feral, I have no problem answering questions or even explaining HOW i managed to get a 5.0 to kill an LS1 from a roll NA, but the whole thing with the double standard is pretty rice. I have NEVER seen an LS1 owner post that roll racing is gay when its LS1>Mustang. Besides, I thought LS1's shine from a high mph punch, thats why I did it, i wanted to tackle the beast in its element.

I used to be biased like you, but I have since learned that its a good thing to have many different vehicle type owners putting in there inputs here. It allows a variety of knowledge to flow more fluently not to mention spice up the "LS1 dedicated" forum you live in!

you really can't. The real difference is inside the block. LS6's pistons have different metal compound than LS1's and a different cam, not to mention the cylinder heads which you can tell by the number on the side of them. I think there are a few other little differences too, but I can't think of them. LS1 cylinder heads have 241 on them and the LS6's have 243. But there is no real way of telling by just looking under the hood. It could be an LS1 with LS6 heads and LS6 intake.

stanger- a race is from 0- your trap mph in 1/4 mile. not 0-60 or 75-105 etc. those runs are all "fun" but it isn't a legit race.

get some timeslips and nobody will question your "kills"/ 3rd gear pulls

Hrmmm, I dont see anyone questioning the LS1 kills from a roll, I guess b/c I own a mustang that must hurt my integrity in some way? The man even ADMITTED that "I [he] have never had anything pull me [him] before" What more do I need to make it legit?!

No, the man meant LS6 MOTOR and told me it came with 430 bhp. THere is NO WAY that a 430bhp Z28 lost to my 5.0. That is why I called BS on that one. BTW, here is my mod list.

Just out of curiosity i clicked on the 5 threads below mine. 4 of those 5 incolved roll races. One of the 5 had both a roll and a dig race. So, 4 out of 5 of you guys posted up roll races...hrmmm, Am I to go and talk **** to these posters and tell them roll racing is gay, it isnt a real race, i dont belive them? Come on guys, the prelude forum has more maturity than this. I would know, i posted the same kill over there and got none of this bullshit. I used to talk LS1tech.com up to them over there. THose days are over. I am ashamed of most of the responses I have recieved in this thread. Its pathetic.

I'm no expert, but I would say from your mod list that your car is definately respectable.
You should be into the mid to high twelve's if you were to take it to the track.

Why can't you LS1 guys just suck it up, your cars get beat every ******* day. They aren't the fastest cars on the planet. That "roll races are real races" saying is just bullshit. You trying to tell me none of you run from a roll ever. No way.

I'm a tech'r (mostly for tricks of the trade), and I like to browse this forum to both be enlightened (mods, street results, etc) and the entertainment value (the obvious BS stories, the few and far between well written legit stories, etc).

A win is a win, or loss is a loss, regardless of the cars involved...as long as both parties are in agreement to parameters. Everyone else's input (outside of that agrement) is completely useless.

Racing cars reminds me of golf: you agree to the rules (handicap strokes & clubs), and play with you brought....and watch each other like a hawk!!!!! LOL

Stanger: you have a nice ride! It's yours, you pay for it; therefore anyone else's opinions are just that.

Haha good kill on "God's motor" stanger.. it's nice to actually see a fast fox that gets driven everyday..

..seems like the only foxes around here are stock or have exhaust (thus slow) or they're incredibly fast and only come out on sundays for car shows

Alot of hypocrites here... People will drool all day long (myself included) at Trmin8er's nitrous roll kills... and bash another car and THEN all of a sudden roll racing is now teh gay.

You run when you can and more often then not it will not be from a dig.
I've followed his post's for some time and he seem's to be one of the more straight shooter's that I have seen on this site.
If stranger say's he was pulling that is good enough for me.
