I don't dig race on the street usually. Although the other day I ran a 3000GT VR4, a Beamer and a dude with a mullet in a 3rd gen all from a dig.. so yeah...

btw I beat the beamer and 3rd gen (duh) and held even with the 3000gt. That was before the LTs though

My only regret is i ordered a 302ci crate motor (new block, not a 306) and I think I should have gone 327 or 342. Oh well, run what ya brung Honestly, I bet that I am LOW 13's @ around 105 or so. I ran a Z3 M from 65-100 and it was dead even except i buggered a shift and he pulled a slight amount b/c that, but after the initial pull, it was = again, lost by 1 car. Those usually run a little faster than M3's (same motor in Z3 body, detuned to 315 bhp here in the states).

The company who built my motor said I should see 13.4 or better in a full weight fox GT with my gearing.

Good kill, sounds like you have a nice set up. To bad the guy you raced was an *** clown. What is it with the car hobbie and BSer's? Not to get WAY off topic but in a previous post you mentioned reading Stepen King's Dark Tower series, just finished it myself. Best books I have ever read, all I can say.

I am currently awaiting Song Of Susan b/c I am a college student and refuse to buy it in Hard Back for 20+ I will wait until the paper backcomes out

The guy really confused me as he was nice, admitted defeat, and gave me the card to the business he was connected with. The whole LS6 thing confused the mess out of me, but MAYBE he has an LS1 with an LS6 block, THAT is very possible. I dont know. Either way, he was very polite/civil and the only excuse he made was that if he had 3.73's instead of 3.42's he woulda got me, to which i responded its very possible he would.

Nice kill man....those A4's can be tricky to race with at any speed. But you got him fair and square and I think all us LS1's guys should respect and appreciate that.

Thanks 99. Yeah, to be honest I was glad to run him from 75, as a former LT1 A4 owner I know that a 40mph punch would have been a low blow, but with 3.42's and a 75 mph punch he had a very solid chance imho. He claimed to have the rear end from an 02 SS with 3.43's(I think he meant 3.42's)

Yeah, 75 is no slouch with the A4.....I think you deserve even more credit for allowing him a sweet spot. My father-in-law has a '87 LX 5.0 that still looks brand new......amazing little car that pulls like a **** and it's bone stock. Once again, nice kill and keep it up.

Gearing is key. I can't wait to get 3.42's or 3.73's. ( Still Deciding )
I like my GM stall, but can't wait to order a 2800 Fuddle, and I spin way to easy. My GT II's are getting down there, Im thinking Im gonna switch from Goodyear to a more drag inspired tire.
Thats what these are but I wont get full traction until about 30-40mph

But the way i sit right now, I would really like to run you.

I bet you would...lol, I am pretty sure you would get me. From a dig especially, i really need to work on it from a dig. From a roll, who knows, you have a few mods and he was STOCK except for the 3.42's he claimed.

Nice kill,congrats.
Honestly, I bet that I am LOW 13's @ around 105 or so.
I would think your quicker than that.
I had a 93 Saleen before i bought my SS,i had less mods than your Fox has and i ran 13.5@105 1.7 60ft on E/T streets.

F303 cam
Trick flow Intake(Street heat)
Cai/Underdrive pulleys(March kit)
4:10's
Centerforce Clutch
Hurst shifter
Equal length Tuned headers
H-pipe
Flowmasters
MSD 6a box

Your hotrod has much more mods, including a MUCH better set of Heads.
The Saleen was in need of Heads,REALLY bad. but i traded it in on the SS instead ,lol.

Congrats on your kill again.

Dave

I try to be conservative. I ran DEAD EVEN with a Z3-M 01-02 model and those are SUPPOSED to trap 104-109 from what I read. I am needing to go to the track. My carb should be on by friday (swapped out EFI b/c it never ran right) and hoping i didnt lose any power.

Don't all of the ls6 heads have "ls6" cast into them on the side?

A buddy of mine recently poped his ls1 and ended up with a ls6 in his gto because they were cheaper than the ls1. The only way to really tell the difference would be to look at the casting numbers(243 ls6).
Sounds like a good kill. Hopefully the easier to tune carb works out well.
