My car stunbles horridly when I first crank it up, it runs rich at idle and lean on top, and I am done dumping money into it to find the problem, so I am eliminating it and going carb.

Enough of the "if the LS1 went from dig it would be a different story" ****. The way Stanger's car is set up would probably make it even worse from a stop. Instead of ripping this guy for driving a Ford, we should be giving him props for being a Mustang owner who isn't cocky. Good kill!

Nice Kill!!
and He would have beat that LS1 worse from a dig. That's a sweet spot for the LS1. The LSX motor's do pull well from up top. Very impressive Stang. Get that thing to the track and get us a number. I'm betting high 12's. Good luck with the carb.

TY, I will be honest, my launching leaves a bit to be desired as I am new to the whole 5-speed thing, but I will post up a slip or 2 when I get the carb on and running well.

Then again, i very well could be wrong. Also, I thought a 405hp LS6 would wipe the floor with me, that is the OTHER reason why not.

I have an LS6 and the valve cover doesnt say corvette :-)

The valve covers come off easy, and if it was bougth second hand it may not have come with it. I think other than that its hard to tell the difference between the 2 motors.

Mine has this funny cadillac emblem on it... :-P

Claimed to have an LS6 under the hood (BS) and let me look, i just saw a normal stock LS1. Oh well, thought I would let you guys know about it.
casting numbers on the head will say 243....but that might mean he just has ls6 heads.

My point is this, I am in the 280-300whp range I think and im nowhere near cocky or dumb enough to think I could pull a Z28 with an LS6 swap.

Some of the people on here are real dense, huh.

Way to smoke this fool. 8 grand for an LS1, right? That's a whole LS1 Camaro in decent shape.

I agree Jello, but i KNOW i would be smoked by an LS6 car, and if he would lie about that he would lie about other stuff, thats my I tenatively claime he had 3.42's b/c he said so, and it is feasible. Other than that, car looked BONE stock, no headers, not even a Lid from what I saw. Bone stock A4, he claimed no mods but the LS6, 7 qt oil pan (will that even fit with the stock crossmember??) and 3.42's and a chip (I know, its a flash, not a chip, why i question further...) the point was, it was an LS1 and i was pumped, lol
