Actually with your whp, you should be doing pretty well at the track. Isn't your car only 3200 pounds or so? 12's should be no problem.

Think he was asking about stangers weight, I doubt the CTS weighs 3200lbs. Nice kill stanger, that A4 LS1 should be trapping in the 102-103 range if he doesn't have any mods except gears.

I'm the opposite. My '01 and '02 have pretty obvious blower whine and my '94's stroker motor thumps very hard, but I do all I can to convince knuckle heads that my cars are only "slightly" modded.

Haha, no kidding dude.

Agreed about the 3.42s, he could very likely really have some from a friend or a junkyard if he or someone else trashed the original rearend, which isn't exactly uncommon.

Just for the record, I would bet he had an LS6 intake, and someone told him that was the only difference, or the only major difference, between his car and the Z06 motor.

Do you have an idea what your raceweight is?

Damn, must be tough to have to worry about the sleeper factor of your three heavily modded cars. Jeez, some of you people kill me, haha.

the CTSV weighs 3500 in stock trim.

I have lighter wheels, lighter header and exhaust and take the back seats out when I go. I would gues that shaves 150 or so.

Yup! Guarentee! Right from the manual and caddi's website.

http://www.cadillac.com/cadillacjsp/...jsp?model=ctsv

This car would be another .2 or so faster in thr 1/4 with a solid rear. It has a great hp to weight ratio, but the IRS kills it from dead stops.

what wieghts did you find? I see 3500 everywhere on the net.

Isnt that about what a stokc F body wieghs... I see 1577 Kgs everywhere, thats 3480.

Remember the CTS has a lighter rear end, and I bet the chassis is lighter too.

How in the f u c k did this get 5 pages long.

FMS aluminum DS
UPR tubular upper/lower control arms
Probe forged pistons
GT40P heads
10.5:1 compression
4.10 gears
TKO500 transmission
FRPP Strut tower brace
50/50 lakewood shocks
4-way KYB AGX struts
245/60/15 cooper cobra gt's
73mm MAF
70mm TB
24# injectors
A9L EEC-IV conversion
1989 140mph speedomoeter
MSD ignition
MAC shorty headers
BBK X-pipe
Flowmaster force II cat-back
Steeda full length subframes
3-core radiator
Stainless flex-a-lite fan
Underdriven crank pully
X303 cam
1.6 aluminum RR's
Typhoon intake
Kirban FPR at 45psi
190 lph walbro fuel pump
Upper/lower tq box reinforcements
New quad shocks
2.75" cowl hood
High volume oil pump
King Cobra clutch
Adjustable billet clutch quadrant
Billet flywheel
Audiovox CD player
TKO short throw handle

...he beat what was more than likely a fairly stock LS1 A4 with all those mods and you're acting like it's impossible? It's not like he's coming on here saying he's got a Pony with Flowmaster's and a K&N and mopped the floor with a LS1. I would hope he could get past a LS1 with all that...and from the sound of it he just barely squeezed by. Sounds believable to me.

And he's hardly a noob or anything....

Aw yeah man, that Audiovox CD Player just heaps on the power. Same for the cowl hood and the 140 speedo.
