This wasn't really a race but more of a contest to see who could get through traffic faster. I was on my way to a friends house with my older brother when I saw a GTO with dual exhaust (04-05?) a couple cars up ahead. This thing was sexy as hell, I caught up to him and looked over but couldn't see through his tint, it was at night. So I kind of took off quickly and slowed back down to the flow of traffic and then he flew by so I punched it to catch up to him and we just took turns getting in front of each other. I stayed with him the whole time and he was also on my ***. We coincidently got off on the same exit and he honked at me and gave me a thumbs up and saw it was a guy in his 30's driving the car, and I also gave him a honk and a thumbs up as we both went our opposite ways. Now, with both our cars being pretty equal, performance wise, who would win if we actually lined them up?

Yeah I think it would be close too, but I do think I would beat him because aren't they a little heavier, from what I've heard.

yea but if it was an 05 gto then its got an ls2, which put down around 340+ rwhp stock. So it should be a drivers race.

I think the RAM Air WS6 is the sexiest Pontiac made today. The GTO is right there with the Aztek.

I have to agree that the WS6 is a great looking car.

Nice run, it sounded like fun.

FWIW - I would say the 05+ GTO is about equal to a LS1 F-Body in performance when it is stock vs stock.

LS2 GTO is a little faster than a LS1 F-Bod stock for stock. Although the only real difference you'll feel will be on top end. From a dig the IRS on the GTO is tricky to launch so it's a driver's race from a stop. From a roll the LS2 will pull I've seen video's of it.

The GTO you saw was a 05 or 06 tips on either side of the car. The average stockish 05-06 gto traps around 107(1-2 less for an auto). They vary from around 105-109.

Well maybe I should've said it was FIXED UP and it looked sexy as hell. It was black and had black wheels with a chrome lip, lowered, and it had a bodykit. I think it was the one that costs like a buttload of money and comes stock in some other country, Australia maybe? The car was beautiful though, it almost made me want to trade my car in.

If you gave the GTO headers and 3.73s like you have to make them 'equal' performance wise, I think the GTO would take you.

And CTSV, they no longer make WS6s, so they wouldn't be the sexiest Pontiac's made today. I'd rather take this one since we are talking about Pontiac's no longer made

That car is so sexy. Definitely sexier than the LS1/2 GTOs, even pimped out.

Sorry, can't read. The way he is to the way the GTO is, the 01 camaro would win. He has the weight advantage, but if the GTO has the driver mod and the camaro doesn't, the GTO should win.

And that car is bone stock #'s matching. The wheels were just added and according to a lot of people that have actually seen the goat in person, the wheels set the car off. Just opinions though. I really like them and have yet to see another car with them.
