This video is further proof that highly modded cars can stick with 600's. But if you have ever seen how fast a 1000 will run away from a 600, now you know how fast it will run away from a hot car.

Take a look at the pipe on it, its got the funky looking pipe that only 2005+ 1000s have. I think it was a 1000 as well. Unless he put a 1000 pipe on it because the bike in the vid has that funky bent looking pipe like a 1000 not the solid round one like the others.

agree 100%.

Honestl;y, i've been out of the bike game since I got rid of my R1 just over a year ago. Back then, the gixer 1000's and the 750's where the only ones to have the upside down gold forks. NOt saying the 600's don't now but...then they didn.t

Also, I noticed the"weird" looking pipe as well. The 1000 is the only one that has the weird shape to it, outta the box.

dunno. I just know that with the amount of power homeboy is laying down,..he'd **** up a 600. easily.

Do keep in mind I have EXTREME traction problems. I did not hook until 3rd. And to be honest I did 3 pulls against him. I talked with my camera guy and he tells me this is the NA run. When I sprayed it was real ugly for me until I caught traction. Then I would run him down fast. But unfortunately my cameraman had issues so this is the only one. I wish I knew more about the bike I raced but I dont. I will post the 1k race when I finally get ahold of him. Then I will be up shoted and on a sticky tire. I know my MPH in the 1/4 was on par with what a GXR1000 does. Unfortunately I never get a slip. This was back when I still had my 12bolt.

I thought you posted that you ran about 120 mph on the juice? What was your BEST mph in the quarter ever? The 2005 GSXR1000 will run 140+mph in the quarter stock....

Did you talk tot he guy to see what sie bike it was?

Good luck on the big boy!

Ok here is the deal. Severale months ago I put a 12bolt in. There was a lights out street event I went to. I was using it as a TNT to see how the car did. The rear had 373's. My speedo was not dialed in but it read 147 with me driving and very close to the same with a friend of mine who helps work on the car when ho drove it. Now the ratio's being off calculted to a high 13x mph depending on the formula.
Roll racing will take the launch factor out. So raw HP will be the determining factor on a run. That is where I get the hope of beating any bike. Plus my buddy filming is over 300lbs I believe. But either way I just posted for fun.

Let me add that the car trapped 130 mph with close to 100 less rwhp.

not trying to be a dick....but what do you mean "read" 147....what did the car actually do at the track at its best 1/4 mile ET and MPH? I see where you have been to the track and ran on radials and with nitrous in 3rd ran 12X mph...I would have thought your car could trap high 12X on motor alone, much less on the bottle!

Get a second car to do the filming and race the 1000, should be a good race.

Trap speed is a calculation, not what your speedometer reads...but I'm sure everyone
knows that.

that bike is NOT an 05+ GSX-R1000. In the video you can clearly see the turn signals protruding from the fairing. 05+ gsx-r1K's have the turn signals on the mirror. I also do not believe that particular paint scheme was available on the 1K's. It is a 2004 or 2005 600 or 750. I'm pretty sure it's a 600, judging by the paint and how easily he kept the front down.

Deffinately a 2005 GSX-R600...

2005 was the only year that paint scheme was offered, and it was only available on the 600.

Yeah that would make sense after hearing that he ran it down all motor. Noway hes running down a 1000 all motor, nitrous a different stroy but not all motor.

Still good for a car to beat a newer 600 on motor though....This is how I do against most all the 600's I race here off the bottle....If he is going to run a 250 shot, he should be somewhat of a race for the GSXR1000 from a high mph roll if he can get perfect traction....

Awesome Scott! I used to race 600's on 71st before I had my car down for 9 months. They always seem to be hanging out there.

Make sure you post on TFCC when you are going to race the 1000. I know alot of us would like to come out and watch it happen

#1- That rider is a ******* idiot and typical squid. Only a moron races not only without gear, but in a short & t-shirt. IDIOT

#2- He cannot ride very well. His tuck was TERRIBLE.

#3- That is not a 1000. It's either a 6 or 750.
