#2 LOL the original poster talked with the guy and he said he runs mid 10s on the thing so I guess he can ride ok.

GSXR 600....
Year: 2006
Top Speed: 158.8 Mph
Quarter Mile: 10.65 s
Horse Power: 103 H.P.
Torque: 46 Lb.Ft.
Displacement: 599 Cc
Price: $8,799
Curb Weight: 355 Lbs
The bike in the video was a 2005 GSXR 600, with a pro rider it runs 10.65, so I doubt that guy runs mid 10's unless it wasn't stock....
Get some tires and the big shot and get it on film!!!

WOW! The assclowns are in abundance over there. I guess even if I did just beat the rider I dont care. A win is a win and another bike taken down a notch. It was fun and the guy ended up being way cool after I met him a few days ago.

yuh...if he runs mid 10's he is a pro rider. Judging by his riding gear he's isn't
I ran a 10.94 on my '03 GSXR 600 BONE STOCK...but took me 8 runs to get down in the 10's. The magizines only ran 10.8's on it. And i've been racing for 4 years now. Drag and WERA.

The guy was a lousy rider. Anyone with any substaintial seat time knows to wear protective gear.
Even if he had a modified air box, full exhaust, power commander and was running 110 rac gas it wouldnt make more then .2 (at the most!) difference in the 1/4 time of a 600cc.
The guy was a squid, but, nice kill none the less, I know the first time I walked a 600 it was pretty exciting.

Since this is a 600 this is very believable. It is nice to red this seeing as i own a LS1 car and had a 03 636 that trapped 135 in the 1/4 and now own a 2005 ZX10R that traps in the 145 range.
I can tell you right now, 600 are fast, but cars with at least 400rwhp can beat them on the highway. Most New 600's top out at 165ish maybe 168 with some wind.
My 10R topped out at 187 from the factory and even with some mods is still right at that point. If you run a 1000cc bike any newer than 2004 you will know it as they will walk you. I just dynoed my bike last week and made 152rwhp on a bike that weighs 400lbs wet.
I also ran a 04 Z06 last week that had some bolts ones, was not pretty for him from a 50mph roll until I let out he was no where in sight. It will take alot of power, maybe 525rwhp or more to get any 1000cc bike on the street.
I do agree though, I wear my gear all of the time no mater what the temp, if he is going to mess with cars he should be wearing the gear. Roadrash sucks.

OK are you telling me it is your opinion that a car needs 525 at a minimum to even consider hanging with a 1000cc bike?

automatic I believe. I think he trapped 145mph and went 9.50's or so.
That's about what you'd need IMO to run down a big bike...at least to
be confident enough that you could run one down.
