My buddy had a 94 ta 6spd cai and cat back. Serval times he has races gsxr 600's and only got pulled about a bike length from a 50mph roal. This makes no sence to me.

Bikes are not hard to take down from a roll esp 600's and if it's not a newer one then even easier....remeber they only top out around 165ish (older ones around 145ish) Your car can do that easy. But as was stated before it's 90% rider 10% bike.

find a good rider on a new 636....they can run low 10s stock...they are wicked 600's...bikes are interesting though, I beat a 2004 CBR 1000RR from a 40 roll without the juice...my car is fast but not THAT fast...I beat the rider and not the bike.

One BIG factor I have found when racing bikes is if you pul lup next to one and hit it (i.e. get the jump), you will do a whole lot better than letting one get back into 1st or 2nd gear and then going! Even a 600 (new one) that can start in 1st at a 30 roll is a handful with a fast car...

well seeming how im new her im the camera guy in the passenger seat and to solve this whole bike issue its a 750 and i know the guy he raced and for the hp and traction issues i can vouch for the traction pretty much at any speed on hose and on motor 1-3 no traction

I just smoked a 2005 R6 on a roll, got him by about 5-6 cars by 140....he has sprocket, pipe, etc. He ran a 10.8 at 128 missing top gear last year...I used a 100 shot though...

Not a race car, a full weight street car (no weight out at all) with a 4L60E, 10 bolt, 3.42 gears, stock block with a 4" crank (382)....other than the exhaust being too damn loud, it looks pretty stock...

Yeah, sport bikes are usually dumbfounded when I spank them or at least hang with them...

Thanks for the info. I know that garage had about ten bikes in it. The bike is a 600 with 750 dropped into it according to 10secclub. And dude is all kinds of POed about this.

750s are not too hard to beat if you have some serious mods, I beat up on a 750 last year from a roll, using only 3'rd gear in a 3 speed due to traction issues in 1'st and 2'nd so imagine what a heavly modified street car thats capiable of using all gears could do.

I must say that the tricky part on a bike is 0-70. Keeping the front end down takes a fair effort. I'm not a good rider yet, by any standard. My best ET is 11.7, and my best MPH is 121. I have only taken it to the strip once, so I do not have much practice on the launch. My 60ft time was anywhere between 2.0 and 2.6, depending on how my nerves were doing at the moment.

If you run a bike from a roll, it takes a lot of the rider out of it. Shifting is easy, and the powerband is reasonably wide, so they don't have to be perfect.

As for bike size... the 1000's are about 5lbs heavier than the 600's. Not a noticeable difference at all. From 0-100, they are also very close. However, once the 1000 can keep the wheel on the ground, it is GONE.

Rider weight is also a large factor. If the bike is 400lb wet, and the rider can range between 120lbs and 350lbs in full gear, this is something that should be noted. I weigh in at 210lbs in full gear, and won't ride any other way. I like my body the way it is. I'm not too cool to sweat my ***** off for safety.

Long story short, pro riders run 9's on 1000's, and 10's on 600's. They are fast, and I give a big for running one down.

I love posts like this....a guy with an 11 second car saying that its not hard to take a bike from a roll.....sure it isn't

I stomped a R6 with some mods from a 40 roll, and last night I ran a 06 R1 with pipe and from a 60 kick he got me to 150, but I hit the nitrous instantly so I spun pretty bad at 60 mph and went sideways...we will go again when I get better tires (I was on MT ET Street Radials, 275-40-17 at 19 psi)...

Bikes with decent riders are NOT easy to take at any speed, unless you all have cars that will stomp the **** out of mine....and 95% of you don't.

New big bikes are trapping high 140's in the quarter...it takes a serious serious car to run with any new sport bike, especially a 1000+ big bike!!!!
