A baseball bat.

Lol, seriously, 450whp is enough to play with 600cc's but to tackle 750+ you need a beast. Just what I hear...

Well, the newer 600's have caught up to the bigger bikes in terms of taking off, but from 70mph+, a 750,900,929,1000,1300 etc are bikes for experienced riders.

Without Nitrous, it takes a well tuned machine to beat a bike.
Some of the finest technology those Jap guys have goes into those bikes.

For a car, Weight, Tuning, Power, Aerodynamics, etc all play a big role.
I have seen 600hp Corvette's lose to R1's, and Vice Versa.... But let me just say this....

If you own a car that can take a Newer 1000 from a Dig, Roll, and Top end, you have yourself one SICK car.

thats pretty much what ive heard.....ive seen a cbr 600 go down,a ninja, and some kinda yamaha 700?....but alot of the guys have busas or R1s or whatever. i felt a h/c 383 bolt on, with a built tranny, high stall, and maybe 3.23s would compete...if needed a 100 dry shot....that was my arguement....i know you need a 10 or 9 sec. car becuase most bikes run 10s...ehh i still take pride that most of the guys have hondas for there cars sooo ill have fun when they drive those to work

If your co-workers are giving you crap, show them a few trmin8r vids, then they will shut their mouths. 600rwhp on the juice and trmin8r has smoked several bikes.

please close this thread...there is like 3 of these going on right now....

you basically need a 1 to 3.75 Hp to weight ratio, when your there (about 900+ at the wheels) then you can think of hanging with a liter bike.

Ballpark is that for every cc the bike has, you need to match that number with rwhp.

Thanks, I had never heard anyone say it and I just thought of it a few miutes ago. It still depends on if you are driving a 3300-3800# car

well my boy has a formula with just cam and full exhaust only pushing 380 to the wheels. he cant beat 600's no problem, ive been with him for a few of the runs. and the guys who drive the bikes are good riders, not beginners.

Thats a bunch of **** right there. A 600 rwhp F body would tear a 600 cc bike a new ******* from a roll. Also it doesnt take 1000 rwhp to take down a liter bike. Probably in the neighborhood of about 750-800 rwhp.

There is a 750 WHP syclone here that beat a GSXR 1000 from a 40 roll; The boost may have been turned up a little more so it could have been up to 850 but it was not 1000

I dunno, is it possible that 850 at the wheels is around 1000 at the crank? I know on a DSM thats likely, but I dunno about a Cyclone.

I've raced my neighbor's '01 600 with my 360 whp Z06 from a roll to 160+. Could 600 whp in an Fbod not win everytime against a 600 bike? Would a 1000 whp Fbod not win every time against a litre bike? Am I wrong? Who would you put your money on in those races? You CAN win with less, but why win some and lose some and have any doubt about what would happen if I only had blah blah blah ricer reasoning...? Racing is fun whether you win or lose, don't get me wrong. Bikes can be modded too. I have 500+ to the ground in my Buick and I have to watch out for 600's at the track, that's all I know...

No, your wrong.

A modern (last 2-4 years) 600cc bike has better gearing and better hp/weight than a 600hp f-body.

Fbody with passanger ~3700 lbs
with 600hp at wheels you have 1 hp for every 6.16 pounds.

A 2003 ZX-6 Ninja makes 108 at the wheels. 374 lbs plus 180# rider.
with 108hp at the wheels you have 1 hp for every 5.13 lbs.

Bottom line, nothing with a sustainially weaker hp/weight ratio is going to rip something else a new one.

This argument is so old, so lame and so far, in my 15 years of owning/riding and racing motorcycles...never been proven.

650-700 hp to hang with a modern 600c
850-950 hp to hang with a modern 1000cc

Go test the formula AT A RACE TRACK with a RIDER WHO HAS A CLUE...youll see.
