Default My first kill.......BMW!!!

As the title says, yesterday was my first kill. Believe it or not, I have owned my WS6 new since '98, and can honestly say that I have never raced it or took it to the track. I have people all the time, whether its Stangs, Maros, Vette's, or piece o' **** S-10's that try to race, but I just nod and go on my way.

Well on the way home from work yesterday, I am cruising along around 60/65 on this 2 lane highway that I always take, and I see these bright *** headlights come flying up in my rearview. As usual I just keep cruising and wait for the guy/girl to pass. Well after riding my bumper for a minute he pulls out to pass and I get a look at the car, which is an all black (rims and windows) BMW 330i (or at least I am 90% sure it was a 330i, a lot of Beemers look the same to me). He/she gets about 1 car length ahead, and slows down, gets one car length ahead, slows down,..... you get the picture.

Finally this guy/girl pisses me off, so as he pulled ahead again, I pulled my A4 down into 3rd and hammered down. I immediatley see this guy speed up, but by the time I put in back in D and let off the gas, I was running 110 - 115 and he was about 4 -5 car lenghts back. I think maybe he gave up when I hammered down.

Not sure if this qualifies as a kill, but damn it felt good!!! Got the adrenaline pumping. I think reading this forum and hearing stories from you guys is rubbing off on me. You all are a bad influence.

Nice kill!

I raced a 3-series from a stoplight a couple of weeks ago... it was too dark for me to see what exact model it was, but it was not an M. He hung pretty much even with me until I hit third gear, and then I started to pull away.

...of course, what he didn't know was that I didn't realize he was trying to race me until I shifted into 2nd gear, so I started my run from about 1800rpm in 2nd... not exactly what you'd call "in the powerband".

'raced' one last night too (in between the pathetic show from a Lincoln LS driver and the run in I had with A C5 vert) Didnt really 'feel' like a race though, the guy would take off.. I'd pull on him, HARD, and slow down.. repeat. Was lame.

Had a E36 M go flying by me last night...

He shouldn't have stopped for the light. I crepped up to him and looked over, he of course had some smug arrogant look on his face.

He revved a couple times, I rolled down my very dark tinted windows so he could see me and I asked him "do you know what this is?"

He looked at my car and said "not really, but its not an M!"

I followed that statement with 2 pumps of the throttle and "nope, your right...it sure isnt".

It wasn't even close. I love smoking BMW's more than anything else.

A fat dude in a 645 vert rolled up to me on the way to work one morning (a saturday) and revved the bimmer at me.. lol, I looked over and he just gave me a shitty grin while puffing on his cigar. the light was CHANGING when he hit the gas. Running the red.. I waited for a 100% green, floored it, caught up to him, looked over at him and shook my head.. he slowed down to about 60, looked at me, and then floored it.. I followed suit, and passed him at about 70, and had him by a good 4-5 cars by 90.. I was never so unimpressed with such an expensive vehicle in my life.

Good to hear that I am not the only one who runs into ****** that drive Bummers!!! Seems like everyone around here with Bummers, including the 1980's model with the door falling off, thinks they can whoop anything. Gotta love it!!

I'm going to say that you'll give him a run for his money.. Anything can happen, but I wouldn't worry about a Z4..

Lets put this inperspective: a brand new Z4 M does a 4.9 0-60 and a mid 13 in the quarter (roughly). I wouldnt worry about a Z3 ANYTHING in your car if its stock, or close to it.

I love bimmers, especially the E46 M3 and any M5, but I'd have a hard time spending that much money on a car that didn't run like hell. I raced an SMG E46 M3 at the track, he just had a filter and only trapped 101... kinda lame. I consider my LS1 a factoru dud (271 rwhp), and I trapped at 103, but lost due to traction problems.
