Default 03 Cobra ate a Murcielago

My .....WIFE, ( I just got married last Saturday) and I went running around looking for a race since I swapped out my solid rear. Sat night as I drove by a little strip club a Purple-ish Murcielago Roadster pulls out behind us and stays in the middle lane driving slow. I begin to slow a bit to instigate a race and he's at 35-40mph. I figured he's drunk and just wanting to get home. Next thing I know the dillhole screams by me and slows just past me. I slightly speed up and he speeds up. I drop it into 2nd and blow past him then start pacing him...I hear him downshift and we nod to each other and after 2-3 small throttle stabs, he nails it, ( yes HE got the jump). Now I am in 2nd at 4k, and we instantly put a full car on him and through 3rd proceed to put just a bit more than another car and into 4th we were still putting inches on him. The guy let off but we were in 4th at 130+ when he shut down. Awesome kill, and was that guy floored when we talked at the next light. Cool guy though. That is probably the best looking car made. Now just my Whipple and 200 shot.

The Murci Roadsters are pretty heavy in comparison to the hardtop murci!

Raced a gallardo yet?

Congrats! ...on both accounts.

I've yet to have the pleasure of running a Lambo.

You're loving that solid axle aren't you? What tire are you running?

The solid axle is the best! Im running the Nitto's 315 at 15lbs at all times....still spins like I got Yugo wheels on it though.

Very, Very nice kill. I am surprised the guy was cool about it. Not that all rich guys in lambos are ******, but if I spent a 1/4 mill on an exotic car and just got handled by a domestic I would be pissed. Again, nice kill

Why would he be pissed? I suspect he was fully aware of the existence of faster and less expensive domestic cars when he purchased his 1/4 million dollar Lambo, yet he purchased the Lambo anyway, which means he was not seeking either the faster car on the street, nor the best value in terms of HP per dollar. Consequently, there should be no reason for him to be pissed when a less expensive and faster domestic beats him.

Lol!!! Ok . . . maybe he is a little pissed . . . but he shouldn't be.

Do you think guys who drive Lambos or Ferraris are not aware that a stock C6Z06, and/or a modified Camero/Cobra, will own them? Personally, I think Lambo and Ferrari owners know full well where their car sits in the performance heirarchy. I guess they may still be a bit pissed when this reality is played out on the street.

I agree, If I had a choice of going to a club in a C6 Z06 vs. Gallardo or Murci, the lambos would win. C6 Z06 = High dollar azz whooping. Lambos = Sex I never had.

I'd rather have a 11 second lambo than a 10 second Cobra.

I willing to go out on a limb and say most Lambo/Porsche/Ferrari owners are cluless when it comes to late model domestic cars.
