The guy who works at the company next to mine has an 02 or 03 SVT Lightening with 14 lbs of boost and off road exhaust amd mabe a cold air intake. I have open headers and a cold air intake on an 00 SS, any guesses to the outcome?

Open because i want it as loud as it can be an w/the least amount of restriction as possible, and 75 shot because that is the most you can have without having to tune for it.

I agree with SDB. Running open headers is not helping you at all. LS1 need back pressure. I'm not sure what your other mods you might have besides the headers. If that all you have your are going to get If you plan on spraying make at least a 150 or that lighting is going to hand it to you but good luck.

I myself wondered about the backpressure deal, but the guy that does all the work on my SS says that (he has an 11 second Z28) you really dont need backpressure on a large V8. As to what brought him to that conclusion is beyond me but i dont try to challenge the intelect of my personal mechanic too often. The car performs as though it is 100% and is faster than it was so what would be the issue?

I have the magazine at home. I'm curretly at work. It was last issue too so I would tell you to buy it but not sure if you'll find it. It's a good article. I highly recommend to read it. Tells you good info about what to do and not to do on the LS1's.
