Default K20 no turbo or nitrous civic vs SS camaro

http://videos.streetfire.net/comment...CA4AF7853D.htm

Thought this was pretty interesting vid. K20 motors are pretty nasty.

Yeah I knew a guy that went 11.6 in a K20'd hatch on spray. He then turbo'd it, but dont think he got any track times since.

It was fast and all, but there is nooooo way I would take that over the SS it whooped. (and that's only seeing the dash of the SS). All the speed in the world couldn't make that thing look good (only my .2 cents)

My friend let me drive his K20 swapped RSX, no boost or NOS, pretty peppy lil car and it sounds MEAN. Then he drove mine... Said if he hadnt put all that money into his, he would go out and buy an LS1. He's a smart guy, just thought F-bods were slower than we actually are.

Where talking about a 2200 lb k20 civic vs a 278-2800lb rsx. More than a 1/2 a sec difference there. BTW, rsx's come with k20.

Torque can give you an illusion of going faster than you really are. Of course jumping into a car with twice as much torque is going to seem faster, but the question is, is it!

This vid is old as dirt.

B motors still seem to be holding up better then Ks. ESP for N/A setups. also the problems of the K in ORR.

K is a way better motor on paper but if it really is better then the old B we won't know for a bit.

Ks have alot less peaky feeling like the other honda motors a k20a3 is NOTHING like a b16 even though both have 160hp.

the K20s most people use are 200 hp or more and, for a 2L I4 a awesome torque curve.

RSX's come stock with a K20, and they run 14's. My friends K20 civic hatch runs 12.9 on drag radials, with only an exhaust and intake.

i'd be interested to know the mods on the camaro. that civic sounded like a weedwacker on meth. I don't even want to start an argument about torque and horsepower, because it seems everything is frum roll anyways, like this race. Show me a civic with 150 ft-lbs. at 4k and an f-bod with 300 ft-lbs. at 4k and I'll show you a civic that's going to get dragged off the line.

i take it this is a motor swap race? because i don't know **** about imports. if it is, there's nothing i respect LESS than the motor swap car. why? it's not the same car. find a light car, gut it, throw a completely different motor in it and you're off. big freakin' deal. kills are impressive when you use the motor the car came with. if you don't, it's not the same car anymore. any shitbox can go fast with enough money. sad thing is, i bet that shitbox cost more than the SS.

who names their motors with numbers and letters anyway? "yo dog, i got the new TX53 motor in my car!" what does that mean? yo man, that's to much better than the TX52! **** is so much easier with our motors. i have a 346. everyone knows what that means. done.

LS1, LS2, LS4, LS6, LS7 IMO it's like saying k20 or b16, b18, etc. Like you said you don't know alot about imports so I understand why you wouldn't know what a k20 is but there are some import guys who don't know what a LS1 or even a 346 is. I guess I just wouldn't make fun of someone for refering to an engine in a certain way, especially if it is correct and common practice.

again...imports suck ****, domestics rule...I will race 25psi on motor (me no nitrous) and beat him by 3 cars....

everytime an import beats a domestic on film, 25psi finds it and posts it here...wow...there isn't enough bandwidth in the universe to post all the domestics that kill import crap!
