Plus, why even look at the video??? you cant see crap its so dark, that could have been a 1983 AMC eagle for all we know, or even a late 80's prelude.

yes that is the supercharged one.

the only problem is that the clutch for this car is really expensive and my stock one doesn't slip yet so i won't go with a new cluthch just yet. With that clutch and flywheel your looking at $1100!

I meant to ask if that was the record only for S/C ones, because I would have to assume turbo cars were much faster than that.

The Cobalts for the '07 model year are getting turbochargers instead of superchargers I believe, so thats cool.

Nothing beats the sound of a supercharger though, gotta love that whine.

It is stupid that they have a S/C SS and an N/A SS. The non-supercharged should have been called something different...like RS or something...

The only cobalt SSs are the ones with s/cs I'm pretty sure. I haven't heard about them going turbo, but I guess it's possible.

I agree. It's so annoying because either people will swear they or n/a or swear that theyre blown. Noone beleives that there are two versions. Oh well.

k just looked at chevy's website, and they call the n/a one just 'ss' and the one with the s/c "ss supercharged," so really, NO ss is supercharged, just the ss supercharged

They changed the available packages for 06. In 05, when they first came out, the SS only came as a supercharged car.

For 90k Id rather have a used porche that will destroy an NSX in every department since we seem to be missing the purpose of an NSX. As for the S2000 being a superior car over all, that's a matter of preference. For 38k Id have an Evo that would destroy that supercharged S2000 in every department. There's always someone faster than you, get over it.

90K NSX????

First of all, no such thing exisits. They never sold that high.

Second, the video in question was against an early 90's auto (high 20's low 30's).

Heres a 91, clean, 26K.

And just to keep things based in reality. Here is an 03. Very capable of hanging with modern porsches, except the 911TT, and its waaaaay less than 90K. (64K)

I have no problem with people bashing what they don't understand, its human nature. But, people need to stop pulling make believe stuff out of their A$$'s.

I'd have to agree with some of you guys, its dumb to have a SS non-SC and a SC SS. I say just keep the SC/SS as an SS. I hope you followed that...

As for the video I can't watch it because of my shitty work computer but hey I gotta give the guy props. Who would have thought a Cobalt of all cars could hang with a NSX? IMO they are ugly but its deff an improvement from the cavilier and its nice to see GM aiming for the younger crowd of compact car enthusiest. I wouldn't mind trying to con my g/f into buying one.
