Got killed :( Well I was on my way to denver when I see a 95 mustang cobra pulling up on me so I give her a little gas to let him get around me and the traffic. We then hit a red light his car is like 5x louder than mine im bone stock down to the paper air filter lol. He then looks my car down like hes gonna eat it up, So then the light turns green we both get it I get about a half car on him because he was slipping. But once he hit second he jumped a half car on me we stayed like that till we came up on traffic wich was around 70 mph 
.
So now I was like man that car is fast. So we get around the traffic and there is'nt a car for miles we are going about 60 when we hit it again he put's another half car on me till we hit 110 then I start pullling him in when he then stops. So I roll the window down give him the thumbs up for a good race and then I ask him what mods like cam gears headers he just kinda waves his hand like he has some but doesnt wanna say. Anyhow I told my buddy who was in my passenger seat that he musta had some major work to pull like that on me am I wrong in thinking this?? My car is a 98 a4 with 2.73 I did have a full tank of gas aswell I don't know I'm just making excuses now lol.

well half a car is not alot, my buddys car had full exaust, CAI, gears, and he would get raped by near stock Fbods, wish he would have told you, maybe he was embarassed

Well after I asked him what his mods were he pointed back as if to ask what mods I had and I told him stock . So ya I was thinking he had alot done to his car and he didnt say anything he was very mute lol. I thought for sure he was gonna be my third kill with my new car 
but it was not to be

but it was not to be . 1/2 a car? Hell even just 1, maybe 1.5 cars is really nothing in the grand scheme of things.
I don't consider it a kill unless I flat out leave the car I'm racing.

Come get some. Sounds like the mod bug lol. But yeah I told myself stock would be ok but I think a few mods won't hurt lol. Time to start saving some change.

thats where those crappy low end 2.73s would have worked for you.....you start getting up in speed and they do what there supposed to do.....ive been close to getting whomped before in low fourth gear, then when i started getting around 120, 130 id pull the car back in.....hmm yea a 95 cobra....you should have beat him, he probably had a few things done
In my 94 with LS1 I beat a cobra with just tsp true duals and shorty headers from roll and dig and it was an m6 car. In my 98 T/A with 4.10's througha 12 bolt I raped a cobra from a dig.
He probably sprayed you down. That would be my guess atleast. Those pesky mustangs. Get an airlid and a catback, and lay down the pesticide.
Steer clear of Cobras, unless it's from a dig (They always have traction issues at the track, on street tires, from what i've seen).

1995 cobras are really slow those years were the last year for the 5.0 and it had the worst computer in those cars(really hard to tune) also the 1995 cobra only ran like a 14.5 it was also alot heavier than a foxbody, so for this guy to pull on you definately had motor, heads, cam, gears, tune and possibly a power adder (nos or Super/turbo charger) either one of these combo's is more than likely what it takes for these year cars, to pass a LS1.
